I't been a LLOOOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGG time since I posted last and hopefully you guys won't mind me asking a question here.

I picked up a movie Barricade figure recently and am trying to figure out which one it is and if it was an exclusive or special release or not. I can't post a pic at the moment but I think I can describe him well enough because I also have the first Barricade from the 2007 movie (with the silver Frenzy that comes out of the engine compartment) and have compared the 2. Here are the details of the Barricade I am trying to identify.

Barricade has an all black engine compartment.
His face has gold under the eyes around the mouth area.
The rear bumper does NOT have a 643 on it.
The crotch has a metallic purple/lavender color on it.
There is no license plate on the bumper.
There is a 2006 copyright for Hasbro and Takara under his right foot.
The spot where Frenzy should come out is stuck. The bumper frame flips down, but the grill doesn't come out.

I hope that is enough info to figure this TF out. If you need more details, let me know. Thanks!

The empty Frenzy slot makes that sound like the Screen Battles version, I believe. It came with the static (non-poseable) mini-figs of Sam, Mikaela, and Frenzy, which we believe is why it did not come with the little transformable Frenzy. HTH.

I can understand that. Is there a listing in the Galleries for this version? I'd like to confirm it. BTW, the 'Frenzy' is actually there, but won't come out. He's all black and I can see his head. I can move it around, but something is locking it in place. Has anyone removed the 4 screws under the engine area and opened Barricade up? What can be done if you have?

There's no gallery for Screen Battles Barricade, since he's practically the same as the regular Barricade. Here's a linky:

Right, Frenzy is in there but he's screwed down. IIRC there is a screw or a couple that are holding him in. Maybe search the Toys or Kitbash forums from a couple years back or so.

Sounds like you have Screen Battles Barricade. Either that OR you have the regular barricade with a grill defect. Oh well. Just comparing notes with my regular deluxe 2007 movie barricade and all seems to be the same. The 643 should be on the front bumper and on the roof otherwise I dunno.

Thanks guys! It is definitely the Screen Battles Barricade. I'll see what I can do to free Frenzy. I don't know why Hasbro would keep him from being removable. Why not use what you already have? Oh well.

Because the set includes a Frenzy statuette, and it would have been a bit silly to have another pop out, right?
