Hey,
So, I have the ROTF leader OP (swords not battle hooks) and I was thinking about getting the voyager class HFTD OP. If you have both, which is more in scale with figures like BB Bumblebee and Sideswipe? P.S. is the deluxe Ironhide scaled to either of them?
Which Optimus is in scale?

Voyager is the way to go if you are looking at scale. Leader Prime is just too tall to display with the other guys.
Voyager Ironhide looks good next to Voyager Prime. The deluxe one is just too small.

Really? I didn't think the leader one was that bad. In the movie he seemed quite a bit taller, at least in robot mode...

Here's the deal. Leader Class Op is to big to be in scale with deluxes. But he's o.k with the Voyager figures.
Voyager Prime is scaled to the deluxe figures, but not to the voyager ones. As he ends up being to small. Unless you've seen tractor trailers that are as big as run of the mill Pickup truck.
Deluxe Ironhide would be in scale with Voyager Prime and other deluxe figures in vehicle mode, though he ends up being a little small in robot mode.

I think Leader class is more in scale with Bumblebee and Sideswipe. Bumblebee is about 16' tall and Optimus is 28'. Deluxe Bumblebee comes up to voyager Optimus's chest which would make that Optimus about 20' tall.
Here are some gallery pics so you can see for yourself.

Prime is supposed to be either 28 or 37 feet tall (I'm sure I've seen both figures somewhere), Bumblebee is about 17 I think. Therefore Leader Prime, being twice as tall as deluxes like Sideswipe and Bumblebee are about right. Voyagers like Ratchet and Ironhide fit right in with this. Jazz is a couple of feet shorter than Bee and Megatron is 45 feet tall (or was he 37?). When Megatron rips Jazz in two you can see how tiny he is in comparison.
Looking at the vehicle modes, in the 07 film you can see that Sam is about as tall as the front of Prime's grill. Assuming Sam is about 6 feet tall and bearing in mind that the average height man will be head and shoulders above the roof of an average height car, well that looks about right to me.
Conclusion:
Leader Prime
Voyager Ironhide and Ratchet
Deluxe Bee, Jazz, Sideswipe, Twins
or
Voyager Prime
Deluxe Ratchet and Ironhide.

When it comes to live action movie figures (but strangely not Classics figures), I (generally) care quite a bit about scale, so this is something I have wondered about as well. I think that overall, the way to go is Leader for Optimus, Voyager for Ironhide and Ratchet, and Deluxe for cars (although some HA figures aren't all that much bigger than Deluxe ones, so they're okay in some situations, especially with the twins). The Voyager Prime is okay with Deluxe Ironhide and Ratchet, but they're all too small with most other figures. Their vehicle modes are also too small compared to most Deluxe cars, and Voyager Prime is too small in both modes for Voyager Ironhide and Ratchet.

Just to add to the confusion, the older voyager OP mold, which can still be found on shelves in some alternate color scheme, is actually quite a bit bigger than the newer battle blades voyager OP, but still significantly smaller than a leader version. Setting both of my movie voyager OP's next to each other, it'd almost make you think battle blades was an oversized deluxe instead of a full voyager. That's just going by size, mind you.

Yeah that's how I'd put it.
I also don't care about scale in classics either. Everyone is like GET ALL THE MP SEEKERS NOT THE DELUXE! DELUXE ARE TO SMALL! But I don't care, because I don't want to be put in poverty from buying them. Plus, there's no MP Thrust, Dirge, or Ramjet.
Please note: If you think I may be joking, I probably am.
