Pat Lee did run DW into ruin, afterall he has all the right to do so cos it was his compny anyway.

What I heard was that Pat toled the artists how to draw the Transformers, and said what would happen in the stories!
He ruined DW by just concentrating on Franchises like Transformers, in the end all they made were TF comics, he had promissed Hasbro a huge amount of money for the TF comic rights, and as he was expanding his company to become Dreamwavers he had no money left and stoped paying the artists and authors.

It was his foult cos he missed out on a few things and made mistaces heshuldn't have done, he shuld have wayted till he had payed Hasbro (yes Hasbro is still missing that money!) and then expanded.
But well, it's to late now!

Just as long as you dont become a nazi and tell people how to draw everytime someone posts something in a style different to yours everytime we'll have no problems. Personally i dont think you are qualified for the job, just because youve been here for a while and drawn a buncha people free art and avatars in the past month or so shouldnt automatically qualify you (or anyone) for a mod position, but since when has anyone ever listened to common sense?

Lets hope the art forum doesnt start going down the pan. Im worried about you becoming a mod, i really dont think its a good idea. For one you are too hot-headed and arguementative for a start, and lets not forget that silly ego. Those ingrediants dont make for a good mod and un-biased judgment when diffusing a tense situation.


So long as you dont abuse the "power" (lol, like being a mod online can be classed as a position of power any way. I like to call it "delusions of grandeur" ), which if you did the site admins would kick you out anyway im sure, then there wont be any problems.....hopefully.

Just my two pence. (economically worth more than "two cents" anyway )

By the way I think it's a cool Idea to have a Mod as a friend, just let him have it, I'm happy for him!

I always thought you liked each other!

Initially we did but i grew ever tired of his over inflated ego and his whole "im better than thou, so you shall worship me because you are all lower to me" attitude towards everything. I cant be friends with someone like that, someone who thinks they are superior to everyone else as that goes against what i beleive in as all humans are equal no matter who you are.

Seriously though Charger, i think you kick both of our asses when it comes to drawing. I know i look up to you since technically i am a noob to drawing TF's and your work always inspires me and helps me out. Grims however.....eh. I think he can do alot better personally which is why i dont get what all the hubub is over him cos i think there are other artists more deserving of the lime light. But if thats his style then who am i to try to get someone to change it?

Man after seeing Death Proof i wanna create a transformer based on Stuntman Mike's Dodge Charger, or maybe do a kitbash of it. Alas, the latter requires a shitload of money which i dont have. Would be cool to draw a pic of the car and turn it into a human-munching decepticon though wouldnt it charger? *hint hint*

YES!! I just saw that last night. What a blast. Best car chase in a long time. Usually movies use too many cuts and fast editing that you lose the sense of location (I think thats what I want to say.)I mean there's no sense of where they're going. Death Proof had an honest old fashion chase where you can see the cars on the road and where they were.

IMHO I like how Pat Lee does mecha, not just Transformers, but all mecha and/or anime/manga tech stuff. He did some stuff for DC at the time that his DW TF comics were huge, such as an issue of Superman/Batman that I picked up which was cool. However, that issue was cool more for Jeff Loeb's writing than Lee's art b/c while he does good mecha he doesn't draw people very well I think. Well, at least I don't like how he draws people. He did however indeed create the DW "House Style" that Figuroa, Guidi and the others had to follow and they just happen to be better artists in all aspects and outshined him therefore becoming the artists of the company which allowed Lee to make the bad decisions that buried the company.

Honestly i didnt like the cute style either and really i only started it as a design exercise-but it have been trying to develop it and it has become quite enjoyable to draw and i think it is pleasing to the eye-further more it allows me to seriously up my speed something which i am always egar to attempt.

Although i do miss my old stuff...hmmm...i am thinking i might dig up some of my old gothic sketch books and scan em for u folks.

Squeaker,Your stuff is a new take on an old subject so to speak. And judging by the popularity a welcome one. Just do what you like if it keeps you motivated. Thats kinda what I'm doing now. Mostly just sketching because its fun and I put less pressure on myself to polish it. Unless you guys think I wasting space and spamming with it.
