Going to buy some early Christmas presents next month and the wife told me that this year I could get something (first time in 5 years). So I've narrowed it down to two G1 Reissue KO's from kotoys.com. I am really torn on this and the more feedback the better.

With the available funds I have I can get:

G1 Reissue KO Devastator --> $70
Crazydevy head upgrade --> $30 (bbts)
Crazydevy thigh upgrade --> $30 (bbts)

-or-

G1 Reissue Shockwave --> $80
(and an additional $50 worth of stuff - any suggestions??)

I want both of these guys, but for right now I can only get one.

Also, can anyone tell me about their experiences with kotoys (how long to receive stuff, shipping, etc.) Thank you for your help in this oh-so-important decision.

I'd say Shockwave. I feel like the Dev upgrades are way too expensive and a ridiculous investment.

You also have to remember there are much more KO Devs out there than Shockwave.

Of all the Devy upgrades the waist is really the best one. It helps the look of the figure the most, even though it ruins the balance without the others.

Any reasons why you want KO's instead of the real deals?

My vote is for the real thing, unless cost is prohibitive. I have a G1Dev, I'd like to get the tweaks, but, Shockwave is far cooler.

Kinda have limited funds...only about $125-ish total. If I could get a GOOD G1 Devastator or Shockwave for $100 then I guess it'd be ok. It's my understanding that Devastator doesn't age very well overall on average (any G1 fig for that matter I suppose). I want to get the Crazydevy add on for the thighs because I always felt Devastator's proportions were a little off prior and the head because it makes it look more accurate (just wish they weren't so expensive).

The only KO's I'm looking into are the G1 reissue KO's from kotoys (the review for Shockwave was surprisingly good). Since they are supposedly high quality KO's.

So I guess it just boils down to finances (which are hurting thanks to the Bruticus Crossfire kits, Generations, PCC's and HFTD lines).

Yes the KO Shockwave is really good, remember to get the grey barrel one. I got it and i got a real one and only difference i can see is the screws, original got black screws and the KO has silver screws. I got my KO Shockwave for 50$ plus shipping so an 80 dollar total, but it was from a total unreliable source so i would recommend KO toys.
