Okay, I have a question. Why do people hate him so much. I love the figure, but the wfc version......

My complaint with foc: yes he is small. Arms, especially on mine, are loose

He's small and hollow and they're charging SO MUCH more for something of such obviously lower quality. The sculpt itself is good, but I would NEVER pay full retail for it.

FOC Prime is NOT hated. Some hate him, yes, but I actually like him BETTER than WFC or War Within Titanium Prime.

Agreed, I'd say overall opinion hovers somewhere in the middle on the whole. Like I said, great -looking- mold, but the quality is horrendous. The good offsets the bad such that it's just kinda...meh.

He's small and hollow, but even if it were larger and more solid, I think it would still be ugly. I just don't like the design.

I was under the impression that it was because Prime underwent a body change between games for no apparent reason. It was unnecessary and IMO a turn for the worse. I liked the body he had in WFC and the figure. I don't have FOC Optimus yet, I'm gonna pick up a bunch of the recent Takara deluxes at Botcon. I am looking forward to getting the figure and satisfying my own curiosity though.

I expected the cliché "small and hollow" complaint before I even opened this thread. 
I like FoC Optimus. He's incredibly articulated (aside from some points in the shoulder) and I love his paint job. His transformation is fun and I can find all kinds of cool poses for him without even trying. Why some others have trouble bringing point to anything else aside the "cheap quality" is beyond me.

Isn't cheap quality reason enough to hate it? I think it is. Aside from the fiction and marketing that support the line, it's product quality that separates Hasbro Transformers from all the crappy knock-off transforming toys. If all TFs were of the same quality as FOC Optimus and Jazz, I would not be a TF collector.

The way I see it, if you can find diamonds in the rough (i.e PRiD Vehicon), then you've clearly ignored plastic quality and found other aspects intriguing. Below, you mention Optimus and Jazz alone. Do you hate all FoC Deluxes? They're nearly all made of cheap plastic.
If all TFs were of the same quality as FOC Optimus and Jazz, I would not be a TF collector.

Other than the size, I have no problem with it. I actually bought a second while they were on sale, because I needed a deskformer and it got rid of a peg warmer at a local store

I liked the WFC figure a LOT, and I think the FOC figure is a bit of a downgrade from the WFC design. I would think more highly of the FOC figure if I hadn't already thought so highly of the WFC design.

I never like the redesign from the awesome WFC look in the first place. That the new one is about half the size was another reason to dislike it. It looks damn good as Ultra Magnus, but since he's so titchy my personal fanon has this as "mini" Magnum before he gets the "Apex Armour" that makes him Ultra.
