Why is classics Ramjet so popular now?
I don't have classics Ramjet and because of the recent acquisition on Thrust and Dirge, I kind of want him now to complete my cone head seekers. Does every body want him because of the same reason? Because been watching him on eBay for a while and really surprised to see how people threw their money on him. Last night I just gave up on a MIB bid because it went up to $36. No way for me to spend that much on this deluxe figure. Maybe I should wait after this holiday season.

You just answered your own question.
With Thrust and Drige readily available, Ramjet is desired to complete the Conehead Seeker trio. I was lucky enough to score a Classics Ramjet for only €7.50 ($10) at a fair, which was half the regular retail price. Yes, we get ripped off big time compared to you Americans.

I sold mine (loose, with cardback and instructions) on eBay back in October. I got $30 including S/H.

Re: Why is classics Ramjet so popular now?
A ton of collectors skipped Ramjet back in the day, too, which is why ebay prices are as high as they are for him at the moment. Most people didn't expect they'd ever get a complete set of coneheads. I don't think $36 is unreasonable now, but I understand why people would be unwilling to pay that.

I have a classics Ramjet going spare at the moment, should anyone want one.
So if anyone has a G1 Blades, G1 Superion's feet and waist, G1 Slingshot.... its a long list of stuff I'd be willing to trade for, anyways.

Ach, sorry to hear that little bit.
I got Henkei TC as well, but he's almost as bad as a KO, so I'm hoping for a RTS or Generations release.

I dunno, it could happen, but it was random for them to release Ramjet in 2006 and not Thundercracker. I have Classics Ramjet. They go for about $10 complete around the flea market and old toy stores.

Yeah, I'm kinda kicking myself for skipping Ramjet now. Not to mention the two pack with Skywarp and Ultra Magnus. Acid Storm also, though to a lesser extent.
I've actually got all that stuff, but wouldn't want to break up the set. Now if you wanted whichever Throttlebot it was that was the green truck/jeep thingy... lol
(not a serious trading offer, or I'd take it to the proper board)

Re: Why is classics Ramjet so popular now?
I got Starscream and Ramjet at retail - they were the first Classics figures that I bought and got them both for $20. Glad I got Ramjet when I did.
I wasn't so lucky with Classics Optimus who I passed on first time and then decided I wanted - paid a lot for him and then those assholes at Takara decided to reissue him 6 months later.
Ramjet is going to get more popular next year with that sick looking G2 repaint that TFCC are releasing.

I owned him and sold him off after getting the Henkei one. With Hasbros releases of the other coneheads I wished I hadn't. The Henkei version is nice but far too bright for my tastes for that character. I re-bought the Hasbro version from a local comic shop because he fits better IMO. He's my only real Hasbro Classic/Universe figure I regret getting rid of.
Now who wants a horror story? One dark and stormy night, after acquiring Generations Dirge, I was transforming Botcon Dirge. Suddenly I heard a snap and sheer terror ran up my spine. What was the snap, you might be asking. His ankle pin joint! Oh, the horror! Unable to be fixed but forever to remain in his Games of Deception box, I closed the lid on that unnamable fear and cried myself to sleep.

Ouch. The Thundercracker that I got this past BotCon is already showing the split at the tailfin pin. I'm terrified to transform him.

No, it's an unfortunate aspect of that toy. Almost all of them find it to be the case.

I'm pretty sure the seller didn't even know it was broken. It was almost impossible to see until I unbagged everything in the panel that afternoon.

I have to laugh about my situation, if for no other reason than to alleviate my extreme disappointment. Razorclaw, be afraid, be very afraid. The other GoD figures I put away didn't seem to have any issues but I transformed then maybe 3 times total at the most. For Dirge to break so easily, frightens me for your TC. His plastic is sparkly. I'd almost wager it's a step removed from having GPS eventually. Also, I am wordy today. It amuses me.

Now I don't feel so bad about one hinge on my Battle in a Box Treadshot's minicon holder/back windshield snapping off when I had it out a few days ago. The other hinge on that joint is still together, but showing signs it might go too. Oh well, only really bought that set for the Ultra Magnus version of bendy Armada Prime anyway.

My guess is because the rest of the seekers are out now and people are thinking: Aww crap...I skipped out on that guy and now I can't complete my collection! (Like myself)
Actually, now I only have Skywarp (who's missing all his weapons), Thrust, and Dirge. Thaaaaats right. No Starscream. I posess NO Starscreams at all. Now I'm praying they'll re-release Ramjet, Screamer, Skywarp, and a first-time Hasbro T-cracker.
Ramjet soooo freaking bad though. Might have to settle for a KO from KOToys....
