its worth sittin threw once, if just for completions sake. its just mostly bad, there are a few ok moments. but its in the bottom 4 tf series imho (the unicron trilogy being the bottom 3, and RiD taking 5th place)
I do like the dark tone of BM, but the rest is just ass. I've only seen a few episodes though. My least favorites are 1. RID 2. Beast Machines 3. Energon 4. Cybertron.

Well, I just typed up an extremely long, intelligent review of the series, but I clicked 'Preview' and it asked me to log in, therefore erasing everything I'd typed. So yeah, I lost it, and about an hour of my life. But to sum things up, I enjoyed the series. But then again, Energon is one of my favorites, so take that with a grain of salt.

Transformers wasn't about Robots in Disguise, not a lot of people mention this. They rarely ever used their vehicles modes for hiding. drone army each controlled by a single sentient commander unit. I'm surprised it hasn't come up in any TF game since then, it's got "video game mooks" written all over it. I liked the commanders, too.

If you're going to copy and paste bits of someone's post, you're supposed to give them (In this case, me) credit, or at least add to it.

While I admit that I lost interest in the series toward the end of season 1, I certainly don't hate it! To this day I think it had well written scripts, and excellent character development, especially on the part of Cheetor and Black Arachnia. I'd also give it props for being a very balzy risk on the part of the creators. I liked the Toonshading effect on the cg models as well.
For my part, the whole techno-organic vibe was just too big a pill to swallow. That, and I wanted to see classic TF robots in action again.

I mean their total disregard for what had come before, "Beast Wars" give me break. Now as for Beast Machines. They rarely ever used their vehicles modes for hiding. The show looked like an oil painting, and the weird techno-organic stylings.
