I've always loved Ben Procter's Septicon Warrior Gump. Its just hilarious to me. I've always wished
there was a figure of it that I could purchase, but alas, there was none to be had.

I took the initiative and chopped apart my ROTF scout class Reverb that I had repainted awhile back.
All I kept of it was its legs, torso, and front fairing/headlight unit thing. I hacked off the leg unit from the pins and flipped it around so that the flat back of Reverb is now its front.

I glued the headlight/fairing portion together, sanded it down and glued on styrene strips to make it the toilet bowl.
I cut square holes in the shoulder area and plugged in some Gundam shoulders/arms. Everyhing else is scratch built from styrene sheets. For the legs, I cut and added styrene sheets to the original legs based on Ben Procter's concept art.

Here are my Work In Progress pictures. I'll update with more pics as I make progress. For now, he's on hold (busy week).

Now with Port-a-Potty parts added.

Little progress on the back since concept art only shows front. I'll have to use my imagination for this part. Already stuck a Gundam side skirt plate on the lower back.

Anyways, feel free to comment, make suggestions and chuckle. I'll keep you updated with my progress. Thanks for looking!

O.F.F.S! Dude, this is... er... gross? Immature and puerile are definitely words that describe this whole thing.

I LOVE IT! Wish I'd thought of it first. The way you're making the bowl is genius, you seem to have a good imagination for how to make things. Looking forward to seeing the end result but I'm guessing it won't transform.

Thats correct Mykltron, it won't be transformable. If only I were skilled enough to make a transformable GUMP, that would rock. But I'll be happy with just having him look accurate. Hopefully it'll make my friends do a double take when they are over and see my collection, like a game of odd one out.

The trouble with this figure is, he's very small so not that easily noticeable but when anyone notices him I'm sure curiosity will be aroused!

If you made a larger one from a neo shifter maybe a transformable one would be possible. Maybe you could buy a barbie toilet or something. Might even have T.P. then!

January 15, 2010 Update: Most Port-a-Potty panels added + a surprise.

Right folks, managed to work on this guy for a few more hours.
*bulked up side panels around toilet bowl, added panels to interior of bowl side panels.
*Chest panels added, toilet lid added (next up is the Toilet Paper roll head)
*Rear panels added as "wings" on ball joints, complete with thrusters underneath, some rear/side panels added
*Added the "septic tank" to the butt area...and a surprise for this as well... see last picture of this post.

Adding the panels is some tough work. I use really thin styrene sheets to roughly make the shape, cut off bits, add more on, until I have a piece that fits, then I trace this onto thicker styrene for the actual panels. This was especially hard while making the chest pieces, but oh so fun.

Below is the best transformation I can get out of it,... so I guess some fancy Japanese Toilet? And to any Sealab 2021 fans out there... Plumbots!!!!
Image
Image
And for the surprise... look... a hose attached to the septic tank... wonder what its for...
Image

BABAM!! Face full of grossness, or he could light the sludge coming out and make it into a flamethrower.
Image

The gun has its own balljoint and is interchangeable with the normal hand. Hose just pops in and out of hole in septic tank.
The gun was made from one of the 6 guns that came with my Master Grade Strike Gundam + I.W.S.P.

January 17 UPDATE: Septicon Warrior "GUMP" scracth built (based on ROTF concept art)

Not a whole lot of work added this time.

*Put some panel detailing on in the form of thin styrene strips here and there
*added neck and head, head is made from a Gundam thigh that I cut and sanded down and glued styrene strips to, already has a ball joint socket, used the original arm ball joint from Reverb, screwed into the neck. Toilet Paper is just rolled styrene sheet.
*added roof parts and door detailing/hinges to chest panels.

Head looks alot bigger and disproportionate than it actually is in person; but the size is about right.
I'll eventually get to the arms and shoulder. Again, Thanks for looking!

I was thinking about it. I think if I were to make Fumigator, I'd pick up a small alligator toy and chop up a TFA Activators Grimlock. It'd be easy to cut him up and add his parts to a gator to make a cyborg gator of sorts since TFA Activators Grimlock is pretty much a Dino shell over a robot body.

Right folks, thanks for keeping up with my scratch build. Today's update features the completion of GUMP's arms and shoulders a well as added detailing to his wing pieces.
*Arm plates added to forearms, floating shield plates added using joints from Gundams. Can swivel and pivot (not a ball joint though.)Panel detailing added.
*Shoulder pieces added, window/vent detailing added by layering thinner styrene over thick main piece.
*added details to wings.

I might redo the head though, because although its a little on the large side, it looks good in person. But all my pictures seem to make his head look giant and waaaaay disproportionate.

I still need to make the hands. I lost the right Gundam hand the other night during a party at my place.
I'm going to try to make some hands from scratch using twist ties as the skeleton for the fingers. If that doesn't work, I'll just have to use some MG Gundam hands, which are about the right size, but in a clenched fist state.

Just finished the construction phase of the sewer savage, Septicon warrior GUMP! Made a rather big change to him as well as finishing his hands and making him a new bazooka.
**Remade hips/waist; before it was a solid piece, now the hips/pelvis are ball jointed into the torso for a wide range of articulation. Some Gundam pieces added to fill up space (grenades from a Zaku)
**Made a bazooka using a MG Gundam rifle and a Bic ballpoint pen tube. Old septic tank gun will no longer be used since the ball joint is too small for the new sockets in arms for the MG Gundam hands.
**Made hands using MG Gundam articulated hands. Gun the middle finger and glued it to index finger, added panels.

(Accidently snapped the original thigh ball joint pegs, but luckily I was able to find the original Reverb pelvis I had cut off and saved just in case.)

And there's the finished glamour shot, I think I've done as good a job as I could. Just need to paint him up and he'll be the pride and joy of my collection!

Thanks! Moneywise, I only had to buy the styrene sheets. I already had the paint, gundams and ROTF Reverb, and such, so probably about 4 dollars? I bought a multipack of sheets with different thicknesses from a local hobby shop.

Time-wise, I spent many many hours, sometimes, 6-8 hours at a time, so probably something close to 24 hours or more of work? Sometimes time flies by while I'm working on GUMP even though I don't end up making/adding on that much during a session.

Anyways, I should have him all painted by the end of Friday or Saturday, so I'll be creating a new topic with the finished product so look out for that!

It's looking really great but before you start painting - are the legs bulky enough?

I thought the same thing, but my pictures make his leg look skinier than they are. The concept art shows the front shin panels as one flat piece, but I made mine bent since my legs are closer together to begin with, I can't have the panels jutting inward too much...

I'm taking pictures with my Phone so all the proportions look off in my pictures. The legs look really short too, even though they are longer then the upper body. I'll take pictures with a proper camera and update my posts with them when I get a chance...
also....

ALL FINISHED!!! Look for the new thread!!
