RotF movie Soundwave. I mean, what the hell is he? Just a clump of parts stuck together? And any mode is hard to keep transformed, since none of the pieces actually snap into place, you just position them in place. He is no fun to play with since he's so floppy, and I even lost his Ravage missile so his only gimmick is gone. The only reason I bought him was because I loved his character and I always buy the whole movie cast.
Oh well, better luck next year...

I have two candidates.

G1 Swoop - Swoop is so fragile that he may as well be made of snow. Or dust. Or the frozen tears of the children that break him five mins after getting him. So whilst I love the figure (as a display piece) he's almost useless as something to play with.

Masterpiece Optimus Prime - Basically because it doesn't qualify as a toy anymore. It's too big (and complicated) to really be played with. A marvel of engineering and design, but that doesn't add up to good play value.

Whilst figures like Throttlebots, Duocons and Actionmasters are poorly engineered or poorly articulated, I always loved the fun little gimmicks as a kid. Its great fun setting up a barricade, putting a couple of Decepticons on the other side and letting Throttlebots rip through it or watching the sparks from Sparklebots in the dark.

WFC BB.
Doesn't tab together properly to get a nice clean alt mode and pieces where falling off as i was transforming him. He doesn't pose well at all either.

I thought i'd really like him in person but he's goofy as all hell in robot mode and i can't get him into alt mode properly.

Universe Prowl sucks too. Hate those legs. They piss me off when i try to pose him in a cool way and they always bend or end up in terrible looking angles.

whats wrong with Prowl? i have him and he is one of my good ones. now if you want a bad toy movie 1 jazz, arms where horrible and his legs take up most of his body.

TFTM Payload.

Stupid plunger means he will NEVER stand upright, the head and shoulders fall off at a touch, and overall the plastic feels KO quality.

Which is heartbreaking, because his arms and legs are pretty keen in design, and it COULD have been a much better figure if they didn't add the stupid plunger, and had a more sturdy connection on the shoulders.

I have also not noticed problems with the prowl mode, unless they fixed a alot when they made silverstreak. As far as wfc BB, the alt-mode is a pain at first but once you get it down its second nature like any other transformation

I say beast wars TM2 cybershark and beast machines deluxe class primal. Though ROTF mixmaster and letdown err I mean lockdown are terrable as well.

Don't go bashing ROTF Lockdown. He's a great figure, and i speak from expirience.

Worst? Animated Skywarp. He fell apart like shattered dreams as soon as a took him out of the box. Pity, he looked really cool. :-(

Classics Prowl isn't that bad, so long as you don't have one where the paint rubs off, and don't mind that at least one panel is likely to pop off while transforming it.

As for my worst, I've said it before, I'll probably say it again, any of the Throttlebots. I hate dem thangs. I guess Goldbug most of all, because he was such a cool, important character in the fiction, yet an absolute turd for a toy. G2 Bumblebee is a better Goldbug than Goldbug ever could've hoped to be, and I can't wait to get the new RTS "Gold Bumblebee" Legend. It's about time.

I love all the hate on WFC BB...i can understand it though to a point. Before i figured out all the intricacies of transformation i hated him. But I do like the robot mode as i think its highly poseable and the blades add a bit of stealth mode(as stealthy as a bright yellow robot with a EE chest can be...)

At least I'm not the only person who had trouble with the Animated Seeker mold. I was really disappointed after opening Starscream. Yes, he did fall apart immediately.

Any of the G1 Pretenders. I was so disappointed when I got Submarauder for Christmas. I was like, "What is this? This isn't a Transformer!" I tried to pretend to like it (maybe THAT'S why they're called Pretenders) so I didn't offend my mom...but boy, what a letdown. You can move its arms forward and backward (how exciting...), crack it open, and a folded up robot falls out. I also had G1 Pretender Gunrunner, which I never understood--ok, I guess you cram the robot in the car and then...?

After that I'd have to say the Duocons (Flywheel) and Autobot clones (Cloudraker and Fastlane). Again, poor designs with almost no transforming involved. Hasbro really got off track in the late '80s. Thank goodness they eventually came to their senses...although they seem really intent on repeating past mistakes with the Power Core Combiners.

Legends Classics Hound

Love the character but this toy is pure slag! Small, cheap and hideous head. Bad enough the G1 toy really was a brick but it still looked good.

I HATE LEGENDS!!! They waste plastic that could give us more Scouts.

Hey the Throttlebots aren't all that bad. Rollbar had more character in that head sculpt than most IDW Transformers. Plus I love the jeep mode. Only bad Throttlebot was poor Wideload. Too small and a garish colour scheme.

I have to admit PCC Double Clutch is disappointing as well.

I'm surprised noone's mentioned G1 Ratchet and Ironhide or Rodimus Prime or the Seekers. I have to admit the custom heads on Ebay really improve the vans, love of the character makes me love Rodimus plus he's got a great truck mode but the dull non painted faces with the oversized eyes really make the G1 Seekers disappointing as you just don't feel their cartoon characters from them.

BTW, I love the Firecons. That's got to rile somebody.

Beast machines rat-trap. Hideous what they did to one of the best characters in beast wars and hideous toy that had weapons when rat trap in the show complained about not having weapons the entire series
