I completely agree. Right out of the box he was a piece of junk.
hmm. i was thinking about picking him up.... but now im reconsidering
If you're a fan of TFA and TFA Starscream, I would recommend the Voyager version. However, there a few criticisms that I have.
1) Loose legs. It seems to be a common issue but if you aren't opposed to putting crazy glue on the pegs to tighten them up, it's an easy fix. My Voyager Starscream is great after that fix. I know many feel like they shouldn't have to fix something they bought brand new but it's either that or skip a potentially good figure.
2) No wrist articulation or elbow artculation beyond just bending(no rotational action). Starscream can clutch a fist or hold a hand pose of menacingly curled fingers but nothing more dynamic. He's best suited for doing bicep curls or holding a skull(Alas, poor Yorick!).
3) A chunky alt mode. The Alt mode is the weaker than the robot mode, which is pretty darn good. However, I like the alt mode but it isn't very show accurate due to its bulky nature so some may take issue with that.
4) Arm cannon placement. Due to the figure's design, the arm cannons aren't show accurate. If they were placed on the upper arms, they would restrict the already mediocre arm articulation even further. Because of that, though, I don't mind them being on the forearms and designed as they are.
