I was just wondering if anyone else has doen it?

For the 'classic' Wreckers line up I've currently got Warbot Defender as Springer, Target Roadbuster as Roadbuster (sadly minus the upgrade kit), TrU Whirl as Whirl (again sadly minus kit) and City Commander as Magnus.

That leaves Sandstorm (Energon Cliffjumper is probably the best contender), Broadside (a repainted Armada Tidal Wave perhaps?) Topspin and Twintwist (bit stumped on these 2) and Rack'n'Ruin (I'm quite liking the idea of a couple of PCC Heavytreads for a pre-accident version of these 2).

If I go for an Impactor he'll likely end up with the later generation 'Last Stand' Wreckers rather than the traditional line up (either the fortcoming i-gear version or a slightly reworked RiD Bludgeon would work here) and I've got Inferno hanging with the season 2 'bots rather than the Wreckers.

If you're looking for a contempary 'Last Stand' set then Gen Kup, Cyberverse Guzzle and the forthcoming i-gear figures are probably the best bet.

Well, im kinda goin for bots that fit into it all, either past members, or similar things.

Atm i have Gen Kup, 2007 Big Daddy (with his gun assortment and an additional 2 guns he looks the part), dotm roadbuster and topspin. I think DOTM Skyhammer looks whirl like (not exact but good enough imo), just ordered armarda Jetfire for broadside, and i really want the fp warbot, but im not sure i want to spend £100 for hasbro to release their own in 12 months for £12.

I also hear perceptor and inferno were members/are members too

Not sure if you've read the Exdous book but the Wreckers are mentioned in it and Ultra Magnus was like the leader. They were his comandos, which they called themselves The Wreckers.
Long live the Decepticons!! I love G1 Starscream!!

Don't tell Starscream, but I'm in love with movieverse Ironhide! ;)

Currently I have Ultra Magnus plus the FP City Commander upgrade and the iGear Wrecker Leader upgrade, TRU ROTF Whirl plus the HR upgrade, Generations Kup plus the iGear head, Generations Drift, Generations Blurr, RTS Perceptor, Universe Treadbolt, Universe Hardhead plus HR Hothead figure(2nd release), FP Springer, and FP Warcry.

If you really enjoy the Wreckers, keep an eye out for iGear. They are currently working on Impactor and plan on releasing the whole LSOTW line-up.

Yeah i have read the exodus book,, kinda what inspired it. Having never read the comics ( i keep trying but find it hard work getting them in the right order)

Atm, my team is looking like (and its based on the wrecker main stays, with one or 2 of my own faves in there)

Kup, Skyhammer, Perceptor, Roadbuster, Topspin, armarda Jetfire, hot rod and powerlinx hot shot.

needs some work, and i'll be switching it around a bit, but all helpful ideas.

Just a shame gettin the magnus and springer will cost so damn much, not sure if i can justify the prices tbf

Last Stand of the Wreckers is a good read. It is probably the best transformers series/miniseries since before All Hail Megatron.

I rotate my lineup from time to time as well. Rumor has it FP is releasing a Broaside figure so that will definitely make it's way into my collection. I'd love for someone to make a Roadbuster bc the classics repaint is crap to me.

I know the prices are steep, but once you get those two figures in your hands, you will forget how much you paid. They are the cream of the crop.

The Jetfire is filling the broadside hole at the moment. As for springer and magnus, you have no idea how tempted i am to chase them both down. Im well annoyed i sold my magnus about 2 days before the add on was announced a few years back, and springer looks very nice, but i have a hunch hasbro will be looking at him for the next classics line, (i feel it in my water you could say lol). Saying that, im sure fp could do a few tweaks and make him a sweet sandstorm too.

I actually like the IDW comics what ive read so far (everything up until revelations apart from stormbringer) and i now have maximum dino's but the amount of abuse the series has got since then has put me off, as has the confusion to what comes where in the time frame.

But im kinda falling for the wreckers in a HUGE way, so i might just bite the bullet on the fp's and the novel

Yeah i know what you mean. Aside from all of the bad press, I've kept up with IDW and their new ongoing. LSotW is a good stand alone mini-series if you don't want to read all of them.

If you hunt on eBay, you can still find a few Springer's going for $90-%120 bucks. UM with the upgrade set on the other hand is quite pricey. I ended up buying the second run of the FP armor before I even had a UM so i wouldn't have to pay the secondary market price. I don't have a Sandstorm fill in right now. The FP Broadside though is supposed to be around leader class so he will be huge. I'd really like FP or MakeToys to put out a Roadbuster that is scale accurate so i can have the complete squad featured in AHM (see my sig)

If you need an actual Roadbuster, go for a Muegen Calibur, the mold RB was developed from:

Modern, fully transformable versions show up all the time on ebay.

Be aware, they have various weapon compliments, so you may need to do your research to make sure you are getting the right combo of head sculpt and weapons.

its not so much the price, but the postage, im in the UK, and the shipping is easily £20 on top of the prices.

Im still waiting for a new run of UM kits (not that i think we'll see one). As for Broadside, if he was that size i dare say he'd be soooooooo hugely priced.

I deffo want to read the IDW stuff, i might just pick up the IDW collections that are floating about, at least i know whats what.

But off topic what are the ongoing things?? Are they the continuation of the original story?? new?/ or what? I stopped collecting from the start of 2009 due to personal reasons and i cant seem to find a straight answer

Yeah, I'm not so sure we will see that mold get used again. 5 times is a lot already.

We've been talking about the Classics style Wreckers but I own some movie ones too. I have deluxe and HA Roadbuster and deluxe Topspin. I enjoy them but they definitly stay within the Movie display. They may share the same team name but I don't associate the two much more than that.

Wow, quite a few things to go through lol

Firstly, i picked up Lsotw Today, havent read it yet but will do, nearly got Target 2006 as i believe its their debut.

here's a pic of what ive got so far (with one or 2 in the post on the way), and just for numbers i have the dotm topspin and roadbuster in there, rb might stay but topspin will be moved out i think.

Image

Never thought of Wreck-Gar, im thinking of throwing uni Hot Shot into it though. but im gonna go through the autobots who i think might fit the wreckers 'mould' as it were

Thats actually a big help lekky, and im actually gonna cry if i find one more person that has the UM and Springer, i feel so left out lol.

As for shipping, well there are 2 in hong kong/singapore atm, both are £70-£80 which to me isnt too bad, but the shipping is £20-£25 on top of that, which is a joke

Nice. Quick question, does the FP springer come with stickers? or are they reprolabel?

Lastly, what gun is that perceptor is holding? Ive tried fitting him with a few guns, his backpack can never support the weight though, ive strongly considered gluing the damn thing

The autobot badge came with the City Commander armor & Perceptor's weapon is a cast custom. I've yet to purchase anything from Shapeways.

Haha it's ok man. They were both solid guesses and there is a nice Perceptor weapon for sale on Shapeways. I bought mine from a customizer along with 2 pistols and an IDW style head(not pictured).
