Video review is up on YouTube by Peaugh, perhaps he can sway you!Tsutsukakushi wrote:Don't have the original 1987 toy versions and thought the originals were around Deluxe scale. In the recent comparisons pics, the X2Toys look to be almost Twice their height. So is each X2T toy Voyager scale?
Wondering why some TFW members are saying these X2T toys can combine. Do they form a combiner in either or both modes?
Definitely curious to get my questions answered in a video toy review or by some here.

If they do the Decepticon clones, that would probably put me overt the edge, assuming they were decent.
As of now, I'm skipping these as I have no real attachment to the Autobot clones.

If it is any consolation, Before N After has shown prototypes of the D-clones. Courtesy of KumaStyle:

As am I, despite that I strongly dislike their altmodes.

Rated X wrote:Anybody got these in hand yet ? I havent shipped my POL yet. I would like to see some comparison pics next to a few basic deluxe figures. The reviewers choices for comparison shots sucked. I would like to know if these are the height of a newer shorter deluxe figure or an older taller deluxe figure. Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

Hope you get it soon and please do post some pics. Im not shipping until felisaber, quickswitch, and the takara fembots drop. I might even hold out for the MMC fembots but with no new news that might be overkill on my part.

Yeah... thanks for the concern over the blizzard I mentioned. :p Juno was fun, then the one yesterday...
Anyway.
I have no idea if I'll even transform them because the instructions are so confusing! But in robot mode, thyey're good. Nice articulation, nice construction too. The little lion dude is an odd, but nice, bonus.

Some rambling thoughts:
So...they essentially are Defender, down to the initially infuriating transformation.
They look amazing in robot mode in decent in alt mode. I think they are fragile. There are many small joints that if the figure fell from four feet, it would shatter.
I can't recommend them because I think it is entirely possible to hate them. However, as an adult collector and knowing that we will likely never get any better for these characters, you might just enjoy them.
First time I transformed Cloudraker, it was awful. Second time, it made SO much more sense. The various rotations you have to do are nerve wracking because you turn things that seem like they shouldn't turn.
Let me put it like this, I won't say you have to buy them, but I will say that maybe you shouldn't pass on them.

Ughhh....one of those fiddly FP/MT type of designs that you transform once and never again. Are they worse than FP Deisel ?

I wouldn't say worse...about the same I suppose.
