Huge gaps is starting to annoy me especially since the legs on Weaponizer Optimus Prime that seem to be more gaps than legs to me sometimes. Devastator just reminded me how much I'm not a fan of that.

I don't care THAT much about the hollow, as long as it's not in a terrible spot. I'm still saving up for UW Devastator, I am at about $120.00 now!

me neither. If I was worried about flaws like that, I wouldn't be collecting robotic action figures

I know I'm probably in the minority but I absolutely hate overly complex transformations. I think they should be as easy as possible as long as the two modes look good. I also hate back kibble.

My thoughts exactly! If ya hate hollow, you won't like Transformers!

Agreed. RotF Leader Prime is an amazing figure dont get me wrong, but his transformation is so complex I hate to actually do it. That's why I like the new guys so much: quick transformations

Re: Your Biggest Transformers Figure Pet Peeves!
I didn't care about scale so much as a kid during the G1 days as a kid. Even then I knew most came from an older toyline. Now Magnus being taller than Metroplex that did bother me. But hey I got over it because they were cool. But here we are 30 years later and they can come better now since they are actually producing these start to finish. My complaints:
We now need a new LEADER Optimus to go with Megatron. Or they should've made him a voyager instead of a leader. I love the figure though.
Which brings up Magnus who should be at least a head taller than both of them. They could've made him an Ultra Class figure. The vehicle is out of scale. Someone said the cab could've at least been voyager sized at least. I might find a cheap MP knock off to take his place. Don't get me wrong he's a nice looking figure. I know some will disagree with me but I hate the whole IDW story of Magnus being just a armor someone wears. Yeah the original toy did. But again we're talking about toy engineering 30 years ago which again cut corners with molds from an older lesser known Diaclone toy line. As a character he was meant to stand alone as one large bot as shown when he was blown apart in the movie and when he died at the hands of Sixshot in the Headmaster series. I just hate what they did to my favorite Autobot.
Next the recent triple changer voyagers I use with my MP figures. Both vehicle and robot modes scale better with those than the other CHUG figures. Roadbuster too. Whirl fits in with the CHUGs though.
With Jetfire I liked the original voyager one's overall design. If he could've been scaled up with the added details the new one has it would be perfect. But hey, dreams!
Well these are my only complaints I can think of. For now.

Re: Your Biggest Transformers Figure Pet Peeves!
I would settle for a Voyager?? Megatron.
Regardless Megatron and Optimus should be comparable size... and if they both ended up as torso bots I wouldn't shed a tear on that matter.
Still have a hard time understanding the rationale behind making Megatron a leader and Cyclonus a torso... I think part reuse went awry there...

I only have a couple of pet peeves. One is the fact that 1-step changers went from Beast Wars Basics and Activators who had great or at least decent articulation to the bricks we have now. I don't hate the new 1-steps, I just want to know what happened. Number 2 is the loss of the Scout class. They weren't to big or to small, they were just the right size for me.

Probably my biggest pet peeve, is when a Transformer reviewer transforms the figure wrong, misses a step, or gripes about something with the figure that is THEIR fault. Take Optibotimus's review of Generations voyager Springer for example:

Re: Your Biggest Transformers Figure Pet Peeves!
Non-combiner teams, groups, or duo's not being released around the same time.
The Classics Seekers come to mind immediately, as their release was all over the place. The Generations "rerelease" of Thundercracker, Dirge, and Thrust did alleviate that a bit, but I'm pretty sure aftermarket prices were pretty high on Ramjet if you didn't get him years before(luckily I did). Skywarp on the other hand....
Black Shadow's a good figure, and a smart repaint/minor remold. But where's Blue Bacchus? Armada Cyclonus is a decent stand in, but I'd like an official mass market release, even if it is just a repaint.
And then there's the somewhat recent Generations Tankor. He looked good, but I didn't bite. Why? Because there's no guarantee we'll ever see [Beast Machines] Thrust or Jetstorm.
And then there's the con or club exclusive ones to complete a (more or less) mass market release. I like the older TRU exclusive Darkwing, but his buddy Dreadwind was only available at Botcon. This years Battletrap figure looked cool, and I'm sure is meant to go along with that Generations Blitzwing repaint that evokes Flywheels(though online exclusive, probably easier to obtain).

RE : Gaps
Transformers Prime Wheeljack has some gaps and thin parts in him - but they are well hidden they either face to the back are melded with the panel lines or the hollow spots are internalised.
Yet they also went to enough effort to make some parts of his body out of more than one piece too.
The difference between some gaps being there in 2012 and say now in 2015 is that they don't seem to hide them as well, they are often in places that stand out to much (like RID-15 Jazz's legs) and the parts are often just a series of single pieces often even just clipped to each other with a lot less pins now.
Not to mention all these gaps not only look bad (like on Jetfire) they can often lead to a toy so light that if you pick the box up it almost seems empty due to the lack of weight.
If you want to see how far the product quality has deteriorated compared Transformers Leader class Ultra Magnus' between the Animated Line and the Combiner Wars line.
Retrospective analysis can be useful too: as I mentioned before Weaponsizer Optimus Prime's gappy legs got on my nerves - but looking back now I actually think he stands up very well compared to 2014/2015 releases - he's clearly much higher up the quality curve than many a non-Generations AOE toy for example.
It's the combination of negative that I notice now.
It's not just toys getting smaller, or the lack of paint it's a perfect storm of things that adds up to feeling "Boy you really do pay a lot for not a lot of toy these days"

I do not mind gaps as long as they are fairly well hidden. I like Leader Jetfire because he is lite and I can use him as a jet very nicely since it doesn't take effort to pick him up. Magnus may be gappy, but its all on the back though and a little in the arms, but nothing noticeable until you angle the figure away from normal display stance.
