Your most fav combiner/combiners
- Motto: ""So you see evil will always triumph over good, because good is dumb!""
- Weapon: Dual-Sonic Disrupter Gun
I hope this isn't a topic already composed and if so hopefully it was long ago! Weather it's one you own or one you marvel at and plan to own, we all have our favorite combiners! So who's your fav? Which group/team/faction that merge into even heavier metal do you call you're #1? And then who is your least fav? Weather you own it or wouldn't spend a dime on it.
My all time fav who I plan to own someday complete and near mint is the Stunticons. Not only were they such hard kick to the head response to all the Autobots (appearance wise) but the coolest thing was Motormaster's awesome appearance. For me before Nemesis Prime there was Motormaster, the one Decepticon you wanted to see Prime battle with next to Megatron. And Menasor...what more can I say other than badass!! My other fav is JRX from RID. I did get the Takara version so I never found out the differences (if any) Takara and Hasbro. JRX is awesome when combined or when just Railspike, Rapid Run, and Midnight Express alone....too cool.
And my least favs you couldn't pay me to buy are the Seacons and (sorry all) ROTF Constructicons. The Seacons to me just have always looked lame to me all around. And the crappy ROTF Constructicons will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, be close to equal to that of G1 Devastator. G1 Devastator was a pure force in every aspect that shook the hell out of any Autobot and rightly so. Not just some lame POS combiner who's nothing more than a giant vacuum...cuz that just sucks ass!!

Favorite: G1 Devastator, the Constructicons are the best combiners them being the first one to actually be made. As a kid I love that they have a uniform color scheme and each only fits a part of Devastator like a puzzle of some kind.
Least Favorite: G1 Bruticus, there's so many repaints of this combiner, it's too overused, not to mention its reference to Starscream in the G1 series. Though it prob won't stop me from getting the encore set.

My dad bought me a G1 KO Devastator when I was a kid, and it was of surprisingly good quality. Even came with (black, non-chromed) weapons. Colors were all over the place, but quality-wise it's held up pretty well through the years.

We've had at least two of these threads in the last few weeks haven't we? Never mind!
My favourite is RiD Omega Prime. He just looks so powerful and he's well articulated. A lot of people seem to say RiD Railracer is the best ever but I don't get the fuss.
My least fav would be 'supreme' Devastator. He doesn't capture the CGI in the slightest. I'd rather spend that money on a G1 team and I stopped collecting G1 when I was 10!

Are you asking for any combiner or just true gestalts?
If any combiner then:
Fave:
Omega Prime
least:
Burning Megatron (Armada Megatron and Tidalwave)
If true gestalts only, then:
Fave:
Omega Prime
Least:
Mega-Dinobot

I really like the 3 Energon combiners.
RID Railracer also ranks pretty high (I really want to get Car Robots JRX though)

Also one of my favorites. JRX is nice for the transparent windows and better paint job, the joints are alot floppy than Rail Racer.

I like the Energon gestalts, Devastator, Superion, and Bruticus (the last 2 I just got in ROTF repaint form). I also like the RID Landfill combiner, particularly because it does not rely on extra, add-on parts to combine, unlike the Energon guys.

I'd merge this with the previous topic, but there were a couple discussions there I'd rather not see continued.
Oddly enough my favourite is now Nexus Maximus. He combines the greatness of the energon combiners with a uniform colourscheme. Also all of his limbs are different too!
Rail Racer and Landfill are close seconds though

My favourite combiner is Landfill/Build King.
On the aesthetic side of things, I really like bulkier designs in general. Big trucks, planes, trains, shuttles, whatever. So construction vehicle alts fill that appreciation of mine. I also am a fan of G1 Devastator so I love construction vehicle Transformers. Despite Landfill's pre-school toy colour scheme of bright primary and secondary colours, which I normally find to be an eyesore, I like the look. The robot designs just work for me with the red/yellow/orange/green colour scheme.
On the technical design side, the main attribute is its central hub design. It's something I've never seen before in a combiner robot, Transformer or not. It provides a strong structural foundation and allows an interesting way of changing limb configuration.
I have Landfill as well as its Wal Mart exclusive yellow repaint and the Target exclusive G1 Devastator colour scheme repaint. I really like them all. The yellow version has a Tonka feel to its visuals but in a good way. The Devastator repaint taps into my G1 fandom.
I don't dislike any combiners I know of. Even things like the G1 combiners, being big bricks and all, appeal to me on a concept design level.

Yeah, I was super lucky! I found one on eBay about a month ago and lucked out on the auction. I won it for $35 USD shipped.
I just love the Landfill/Build Team mold so it's the one mold that I actively hunted down for all its repaints. I plan to eventually complete the G2 Dreadwing/Smokescreen set and repaints. I have BB and Starscream from BWII as well as Dreadwind and Smokejumper from RiD. So I just need Dreadwing/Smokescreen and Gigant Bomb/Smokesniper for completion.

Menasor. I've always loved the Stunticons and their wild antics. Breakdown is a sick Decepticon and Wildrider is a sick driver.
I really never picked favorites, actually my favorite was always Devastator as a robot. But as just a team I like the Stunticons.

I received Beast Wars Tripredacus a week or two ago and I have to say that he's one sweet combiner. He's probably the sturdiest combiner I know of (I have quite a few) and he looks like pure evil. You have to think about how hard it was to create 3 functional robots with organic alts that combine into a fluid gestalt. He's great. My only complaint his that his right arm kind of sucks and requires imagination to actually see it as a functional arm. Still, he's a great figure and I can't think of another combiner as sturdy or as fluid as his design (aside from Railracer).
Sure, Railracer is my favorite, but Tripredacus is a close fourth (next to G2 Bruticus and Energon Superion w/ Fansproject add on). I really mentioned him because I never see anyone mention him, and if nothing else, he deserves a mention.

Re: Your most fav combiner/combiners
Hmm... this is difficult... First and foremost, I will always hold the original Constructicons near and dear to my heart. But, for my favorites, well, it's a virtual tie between the Stunticons and Terrorcons (infact I just found my Rippersnapper, Blot, Sinnertwin and Cutthroat toys stowed away in an old backpack with a ziplock bag holding the Abominus parts. Just have to have time to figure out which box, in my closet Hun-Grr is hiding, so I merge them together and display them on the shelf).
The cool thing is that my two favorite Stunticons are Dead End and Breakdown, which is nice they both have toys in the ROTF line... too bad Breakdown (or Brakedown as Hasbro seems to spell it now) is going to be Scout Class... and I had to get the Deluxe Dead End, just because that is the first one, to my knowledge, to actually use his G1 cartoon face. Although he has a bit of a G1 Wheeljack thing going, as well. Just wish they painted him Burgandy with Black racing stripes, instead of Black with Red racing stripes, which makes him look a bit like K.I.T.T.
The Scout Class Dead End, however, man that toy is terrible (at least mine won't transform without needing a mallet). Perhaps I should give it an honorable mention in the "Worst Transformers" thread...
Anywho, back on subject, I also like the others, basically in this order...
Constructicons (love the G1s and the individual ROTF toys, just not into the Supreme Class Devastator. May pick up the Legends Class when they arrive), Technobots (especially Nosecone and Lightspeed), Arialbots (G1, that Target set is terrible), Predacons, Seacons (they probably would be cooler had they ever been introduced in a U.S Cartoon. Watching the Super-God Masterforce series now, and it seems the Japanese sort of went a little crazy with them), Protectobots (always like collecting Emergency Vehicles since I know so many Ambulance Drivers, EMTs, Police Officers and Firemen) and Combaticons (in some respects they were cool, but if they had never come to be, I'd have been okay with that)... Although I would love to see Hasbro re-issue the Trainbots. They looked so cool in the Headmasters Series, but since I never saw those episodes until about a month ago, I only just learned about them now...

Yeah, Tripredacus is such a cool combiner, especially because he's a Beast Wars combiner! I first heard him mentioned by ExaggeratedElegy on Youtube. When I looked him up at tfwiki, I was an instant fan. I want to get Tripledacus from BWII because I think the colour scheme is pretty nifty. It'll probably be an expensive hunt, though.

I love G1 Predaking, almost forgot about this guy. Still hating myself that I missed the chance to get the reissue giftset.
