Agree with comments above; something's a little off. She's really kind of stuck somewhere between G1 and the Classics figures, lacking details of the modern figures yet too dare I say curvaceous to fit with vintage figures. And I do wish that they had posed her a little in the transformation video. The joints look loose and the fact that they just hold the figure doesn't do anything to prove otherwise.

But very nice looking. I hope it gets good reviews so I can justify picking her up.

I agree there, looks somewhat out of place among both G1 and Classics, but still good.

Judging by this, if they can be competitive with Fansproject price-wise, I'm definitely picking this up.

Arcee's definately out of place in a G1 collection. But, since my Neo G1 collection includes Classics, Fansprojects, Energon, Masterpeice, and Animated, I think she'll fit in just fine there.

It's not perfect ... but since we've been waiting 24 years for this figure to be made, I'll take it. It's pretty damn awesome regardless. I'd love to see a G1 version with some die-cast and an old school not quite right head. Looking forward to having this in my hands.

This might sound dumb, but can you remove the guns from her hands and store them? Every picture seems to have her all 007.. :lol:

That looks amazing and I was wondering what else they might paint her into. The only thing that bugs me is while the person was transforming it, it sounded like it might be on the cheap side though I guess I could be paranoid.

According to what I read over at TFW2005, they are removable.

As for diecast, that would be nice, but not necessary for me. That would just up the price of the figure. I like the diecast on the Warbot Defender, but I don't think fans would have been upset if the figure lacked diecast parts.

I love the figure, but think it's a shame she doesn't have the Greek-classical face. That'd have finished the figure perfectly.

I'd like to see her posed beside City Commander, Defender, and Classics Rodimus to get a since of scale and how well she will fit in. I have a feeling she will be pretty tall based on that transformation.

edit: nevermind now there is a video with her posed with the G1 Crew, looks like she will fit in just fine.

She will look fantastic next to Ultra Magnus, Springer, Rodimus Prime, Galvatron, Cyclonus, and Scourge.

Heck, with Armadacron and Animated Blurr (who does fit in rather well with the FP/Classics stuff), I'd say the Neo G1 team would be nearly complete. All we need is Wreck-Gar, and we's done ya'll!

I will be buying her. If she's above $80.00, I may say no. I was able to justify Warbot Defender due to extra disposable income, but another figure at that price or higher? Oooh. It better do something magical for that price. I hope they don't go ridiculous like they did with their Animated human figures. =\

Besides, didn't Hasbro say that 3rd party had to be under $100?

Now that's just ridiculous. There's absolutely no reason to throw out a perfectly good figure that would have a nice home with another collector who would gladly take her, and probably meet your asking price.

To simply throw it out is ridiculous. You either have too much money to spend or...no. You know what? I can't think of any reasonable reason for you to throw out a perfectly good figure, not to mention rare.

Guess I'll start with the cons...

*Spindly arms. I worry about possible breakage.

*The vehicle mode looks unbalanced. The front is nice, bulky and detailed, and the back looks skinny and unfinished by comparison.

*The small feet combined with possible weight of the back kibble makes me wonder about its standing pose stability.

*Some of the paint apps look unfinished or under-detailed.

*Are the guns removable? This could've been answered in the video, I honestly forgot >_>;;

*Price point/availability/numbers? How quickly are these things going to sell out?

Now that that's out of the way, pros...

*This thing looks unbelievably fantastic. There's really not many words for it, and even with the unbalanced (opinion) issue the vehicle mode is spot on and just... wow.

*Simple transformation without sacrificing the aesthetics. That means less fuss, less worrying about losing instructions, and less tiny little parts to break off (I'm looking at you, MP Megs..) while still looking DY-NO-MITE!

*Accurate, accurate, accurate. Enough to make even the most casual fanboy have a total wankfest.

*The scale, while small, really works. I know she was a bit bigger in the cartoon in both modes, but it looks so nice (especially right up next to Kup and Hot Rod) I didn't even think about it until I started looking for flaws.

*No add-on pieces. Transformation is self-contained, weapons are storable.

Having said all that, I still need to say that HOLY AFGHJa3werjqaw904uajilgfjafdga80eulkafdgj. Just... gorgeous.

It's one of the few toys this year I'd be willing to pay far out the a$$ for if needed. That Paradron repaint too...

It says the article "HEAVILY" implies that Generations (that's right, you read Generations) Arcee and Kup are coming from Hasbro and should be unveiled at this year's BotCon.

So uh, yeah, if that is true, I'm not sure it's worth it to buy her. =\

I'd buy that. It totally makes sense that with the 25th anniversary of the Animated movie next year, they'd be looking at some sort of tie in, much like Takara's doing with the 2010 campaign. And it's because of this that I'm seriously considering not keeping my preorder for the Unicron repaint. Although he's been released several times in the US already, with the anniversary next year, it would give Hasbro an excuse to release this new repaint/redesigned version.

Arcee is probably just a DRIFT repaint... :-$

As for the diecast comment/question: I actually think Warbot's diecast makes him harder to pose. If Arcee had it anywere but in her shoes, I think she would topple over much worse than Warbot D does.
