Zechs Merquise Vs. Char Aznable
Zechs Merquise Vs. Char Aznable

Rules: to make this a fair fight and no MS has the upperhand, this fight is based purely on pilot skill alone. Zechs would fly a Leo and Char would be in a Zaku. No Gundanium Alloy just the typical cannon and saber/axe.
So who would win the Lightning Count or the Red Comet??

Of course Zechs was able to handle the Tall-geese when nobody else could, which is a feat in itself, and was the only good thing to come out of the Emo depressed teen angst AC that is Gundam Wing.
The Zaku II is far superior to the Leo, not only in the fact that Zeon built their Zaku's to soak up alot of damage and keep on kicking. The Leo unfortunatly was just a really dumbed down version of the Tall-geese, not even being able to fight in space without a propulsion upgrade. While they were both cannon-fodder suits, a Zaku could overtake the Leo.
So it comes down to the pilots themselves. They would make their mobile suits shine above anyone else, but I think when it comes down to the end of it, Char would win.

Come on! Zechs needs a gut ripping MS to do any dammage. Char could probably beat him in his modified Zaku II. So if we sit him in his Sazabi... Char has pure skill over newtype abilities.
Rau Le Creuset from Seed would be more likely to stand a chance against Char. In the last episodes he was hinted to be a Newtype as well as being a coordinator. But still I consider the UC technology to be superior

Later on Noin will launch a revenge attack on Johnny Ridden, who is once again mistaken for Char. Johnny will survive but will be really damning Char's name now.

Indeed, Char could beat any of his imitators any day of the week.
Rau Le Creuset would probably give him a run for his money. SEED is a remake of UC (Not a ripoff. It has to be from someone else to qualify that, and there's way to many similarities), except shinier.
Then again, Le Creuset died in the same situation that Char survived, so I guess that would be a factor. And Le Creuset was even using a Gundam, albeit a CE Gundam.

Not to mention Seed Gundams are seem to be a lot stronger than most of the UC Gundams.
PS: I hate Seed with a passion for so many reasons.

I disagree. Limited time to actually be able move around? (not to mention having color) Limited arsenal? Having to control every movement by programing? I think that's not very effective. I'm sure Zeta or Nu can beat Freedom and Justice anytime.
Personally the only thing that realy anoyed me about seed was the constant that half the show is just a bunch of flashbacks. That and the faces.

The flashbacks were annoying, (Especially in SEED Destiny) and I think they focused too much on the love stories, but I liked it anyway.
Plus, the chicks were hot.

You mean it's actually wrost in Destiny?!? Did they make movies out of Seed and Destiny? I'm not sure I'm willing to go through 26 more episodes of that...
Anyway I read on wiki that there's yet another Masked Char clone in Destiny, is that true?

SEED Destiny's first tier ZAFT Gundams have to use multiple burts from their weapons to penetrate a colony wall in the first couple of episodes. Something the old RX-78 could do with one shot from its beam rifle. I'd be very hesitant to say that SEED's MS are any 'better', looking at the lack of concrete performance stats. In terms of piloting ability, one should note that most of the main characters in UC (From Newtypes like Amuro to even common soldiers like Shiro Amada) a lot more emphasis is placed on tactics that think outside the box, relying more on skill to defeat groups of enemies than just firing all ones weapons at once. Static attacks like Hi-MAT spam wouldn't cut it in most other settings.

50, 51 if you count Final Plus.
And yes, it's much worse. No episode can go by without a flashback. Even the opening scene (Before the opening theme in the first episode) is a flashback to the Battle of Onogoro.

Yup. Neo Roanoke. (Named after the Colony of Roanoke, the first English colony of America)
Here's a fun fact:

I'll agree, the Tall-geese and TG-III are badass machines.
But this is Zechs in a Leo, and Char in a Zaku.

Well that's no fair--Leos are the biggest cannon fodder since grapeshot. Zakus at least can get nicked without exploding.

That's because Universal Century is infinity times better than After Colony.
Char would win even if Zechs WAS using the Tallgeese.

Better piloting skills, better psychic abilities, better mobile suit.
Zech just would not know what ever hit him.
You don't believe Sazabi it better? Check it out for yourself:

Regardless, that's not the case here (and Sazabi's firepower advantage, along with that whole Newtype thing, more than makes up for whatever speed TGIII has, anyway).
Zechs might as well just get out and walk.

I declare shenanigans on this thread for Zechs even being near the Red Comet in votes.
I guess that's what happen when people vote for thee only one they know.
