While I was driving to my calls today I passed a cemetery that reminded me of the one in Return of the Living dead.. Then I started thinking, "what would be the style of zombie I would rather go up against?" And what is the more terrifying of the three zombie styles.

As for style I mean the three mainstream zombie franchises (well the 04 dawn was a stand alone movie... BUT it was a good one at that).

Romero zombies

Method to become zombified
Anyone that dies comes back (possibly due to radiation from an exploded space probe)
Transmitted by bite, scratch or fluid transmission

Zombie specifications
They eat all of you
They shamble around slowly (like creeping death)
Have little to no communication skills
Can be killed by shot in the head/massive head trama

Method to become zombified
It is believed that the only way to become a zombie in this continuity is by being exposed to the trioxin compound, be it ingestion (nose, mouth or skin) or reanimated due to water/rain/trioxin chemical itself.

They only eat brains
They can run
They are somewhat intelligent and can talk
Can be killed by electricity (shorts out the brain)

I think the one I would want to face would be the Romero zombies.. Yeah, he made them slow like the creeping death and they will tear you apart if they got their hands on you, but they are easily taken down by a headshot and can be maneuvered through due to their slow movement.

The most terrifying ones would be the ROTLD ones.. Sure they only eat brains, but the only way to kill them is electricity (seen in the second movie)..

Agreed Romero zombies The Hardest would be rotld where are you gonna find a stray wire, 3rd rail, etc.

Damn zombies better stay off my lawn. My sunflowers can fuel an entire plant army to kill any zombie from any continuity.

Yeah, Romero zombies would be the least threatening due to their lack of speed. Gives you a lot more options.

I think the Romero style zombies are the scariest despite being the easiest to deal with. The other ones are too natural in their behavior, they run and think like wild animals. The Romero zombies are walking corpses that mindlessly stalk you which is something your instincts are not prepared for.

I honestly wouldn't care what sort of zombies I'd have to face. My zombie plan is to take my sword and the M1 Carbine in my garage (plus plenty of ammo and maybe a handgun or two), hop in my jeep, and head right down the street to the abandoned watch-tower in the old civil war battlefield. I'd easily be able to say up there and wipe out any zombies that were headed to the tower, and since I don't eat much, I wouldn't have to really worry about food (there's plenty of deer and turkey around, and since I actually know how to use a sword, I'd say I'd be safe enough for close combat).

My Escape plan is similar to Grif's, however I take the Magical Mystery bus as much guns food and warm clothing as i can and instead of Alaska i go to the Canadian Shield (It's Colder). And My team: Me, Myself, and I. My Battle Plan is secure the Building I live in (it's an Apartment)as well as food. Get to the top Floor, Destroy the stair cases and wait it out and attack when need be. I'm close to (the state Of) Washington so getting up to Canada Shouldn't be to hard.

Slow zombies would be the best. The fast ones are a pain considering I'd have to rely on guns. Either way, we'd be ****. Probably find the closest Costco and try to survive in there.

Can't wait for that upcoming Pride and Prejudice and Zombies movie.
