Hmm. I like the Fast Action Battler version better. At least the chest on that one closes in on itself. This one suffers the same fate as Barricade where he has a huuuuuuge chest width for no reason.

He looks a lot like Armada Red alert in my opinion, except for the fact he's black, has a dog face, and has really big arm cannons.

Wow. That's a great improvement over the fast battler variant IMO.
I wouldn't call him Ironhide though, he strikes me more as a Trailbreaker look-alike.

Another winner!
The black pickup alt mode works perfectly for Ironhide! He's big, tough and intimidating, just like Ironhide should be!

I'm not so sure if they cannons under the bed of the truck work (a bit odd), but I love how accurate the GMC truck is and the robot mode is cool!

God that's ugly.
I can't stand the barrel things in his alternate mode(in fact, I think his alt. mode looks horrible period; the idea of Ironhide as a truck is great(not to mention it's not SO far off, considering he's been a truck before), but this rendition is just fugly).
And the chest... yikes, at least the fab version had the hood-halves meeting together.

As for a figure in general, he isn't to bad. Just, for myself, I think I'm going to rename all the movie figures and just work them into the story that I have going with all my bots already.
It's weird how sometimes new shows will coinside with my personal sagas, but I don't let them dictate what goes on with my shelf space.
Oh, and I don't like all the kibble on the trucks underbelly.
