Oh man. Now this means I will have to go inside of a Wal-Mart. I think I will probably order these off Ebay just to avoid that dreaded establishment.

Not really a problem for me considering I think he is one of the worst Alternators ever released.

Now if only Walmart would carry Alts again would this make sense. Oh well, I can always order through BBTS.

I just picked mine up yesterday. unfourtunatly it was missing it's engine gun, I'm thinking of writing a letter to hasbro, but i'm not sure what kind of response I'll get. I'm not that impressed with the figure overall either. Both Rumble and ravage have relativly simple transformations for all, and while Ravage ends up looking fairly neat, in hindsight I wouldn't have purcahsed Rumble. To me He just is the least visually impressive alt released ever.

Damn straight. I haven't been that angry (I threw him after 90 minutes, and the damn thing didn't break) since Energon Slugslinger. (But, even he was conquered finally.)
I got all the parts to mine (thankfully), but his feet need to be detached in order for his car mode to fully seal shut. If they stay intact, he literally pops loose all over the place. URGH!
Ravage is the clear winner of the two for sure, but Alternators sure went out on a bad note. If this is any indication of where they were headed in terms of design beyond this point...it's a good thing they killed the line now.

I still haven't had a chance to work my Rumble and Ravage out of their boxes, but Optimus Prime was the least impressive Alternator to me. The characterization was unnecessary with the inclusion of the 20th Anniversary / Masterpiece version, and the perfect mold opportunity for Trailbreaker was wasted on it. (They argued that the Japanese wouldn't be impressed because they don't know what a pickup truck is, yet the original Trailbreaker was a pickup. WTF? The Japanese are not nearly as xenophobic as Americans.) Anyway, Prime's Transformation was horrendously simple and he generally fell apart about halfway through. Rumble would have to be pretty darn bad to beat out Prime as the worst Alternator mold.
As far as having to go into a Wal-Mart, I picked up mine at, like 3 in the morning when there is virtually no one inside the store. Also I would suggest trying Wal-Mart Online; their website used to be good about stocking new Alternators.

Well, yeah you can order these from BBTS if you want to spend $30 for each, plus shipping. Apparently they are not being shipped a 'whole sale' amount, in fact none at all is what they said, so they are going to other sources to acquire them. AKA--paying someone off to get them at Walmart en masse, I guess.

I for one, love Rumble.
He's different from every other Alt in several good ways. First off, he's bulky, which is a very refreshing change from the spindly arms that almost every other alt has.
His homage is spot on. Even my girlfriend picked up on his chest piece representing his cassette heritage. Hell, he even has the little back-guns from the G1 figure.
Why is it that everytime a figure deviates from a formula, it becomes 'an absolutely horrible design'? Yet, if we rehash the same figure over and over again, we instead bitch about repaints when we should be getting new molds.
The first one I bought was missing the engine gun as well.
I went back to Walmart, purchased another one, slit the packaging, took out the gun and returned it there promptly.
Let Hasbro eat their own mess.

With how long it's taking all the Wal-Marts around me to restock, it'll be a while before I see them. Hopefuly they are shipped in larger numbers than TRU Soundwave was.

Our walmarts don't get exclusives as per the toy manager she's even tried to get them but distributing doesn't even allow them to order. If your Walmart can't get it and you know the item code they may be able to bring in a case from another store. Also you can see if its offered online and then have it delivered to the store for free shipping.
Better it exclusive to walmart rather than an obscure store, but seems strange that it was changed just recently, normally Hasbro mentions these things when they show the figure on the website.

Yeah that happened to me the first time but then I remembered that I spun the foot around to put him in bot mode.
All in all, it was a good concept that got the short end of the stick because it was the end of the line. I'm already planning to get 3 more. One to make into Blue Rumble (or as I like to call him... RUMBLE!), one to leave as Red Rumble and another to make Blue Rumble again. I'm also looking for some good arms to attach to the end of the piledrivers so it can, you know, suck less. All 4 get new arms and the second pair go on eBay!
One last detail, the plates on the blue ones will stay Hawaii Rumble and the plates on the red ones will be changed to Alaska Frenzy. That's right, no lower 48 for these guys!

Oh, joy. Now I'm definitely sure I won't be finding him anywhere. Why don't they just go ahead and throw these things were nobody will find them, like the Toy section at Zellers?

when i walked into my walmart last nite, they were takeing the spiderman 3 figs of the display,.
then they took out the spiderman pics and logos from the display and flipped them around revealing tf logos, that looked like the movie merchandise weve ben seeing, then proceeded to bring out 10 cases of alt ravage and rumble.
each case had an alternators display, consisting of 3 rumbles and 3 ravages each. they said they had a ton more of the alt boxes in the back, and im guessing the devestator and movie promo figs too.
