The Trainbots, like the Constructicons, did come from Diaclone and had 6 members:

- Shouki (roughly "Devil Queller")
- Getsuei ("Moon Shadow")
- Seizan ("Blue Mountain")
- Yukikaze ("Snowy Breeze")
- Suiken ("Drunken Fist", after the style of Kung Fu)
- Kaen ("Blaze")

Me being a train lover Raiden is a coveted item, I just wish he was released in the US. :)

I think these guys ROCK ,i wish they came out in the US back in 1987,cause i was (and still is ) a big train freak =P~

Jim Sorenson has updated this blog, Disciples of Boltax, with his last remaining Japanese G1 Trainbot transformation sequence. We've previously seen Shouki, Getsui, Seizan, and Suiken. This week brings us Yukikaze. Unfortunately Jim lacks the last remaining member, Kaen and their combiner form Raiden. Click here to visit Disciples of Boltax and read some of Jim's thoughts on these obscure G1 characters.

Yukikaze (like Yu-kee-kah-zay). It's a Japanese name, but as it's rendered in katakana like most names, it has no meaning whatsoever. Were they written in hiragana or kanji (the more traditional characters), they have these meanings:

- Shouki (roughly "Devil Queller")
- Getsuei ("Moon Shadow")
- Seizan ("Blue Mountain")
- Yukikaze ("Snowy Breeze")
- Suiken ("Drunken Fist", after the style of Kung Fu)
- Kaen ("Blaze")

I feel so sorry if this guy had to go to high school with this name. 8-}

This week's Ark Addendum update from Jim Sorenson's blog, Disciples of Boltax, brings us another animation model from the Masterforce episode Kidnapping!? The Targeted Jumbo Jet, in which the Destrons hijacked airplane loads of civilians and transformed them in the zombie-like Destroids. Like last week we see another jet, however this model was left unused.

This week's Ark Addendum update brings us another set of models from Sunbow's pilot episode of Transformers "More Than Meets the Eye". We get four models of the space cruiser that the Decepticons set out to build shortly after being revived. The ship went unnamed in the cartoon, but while conducting interviews with an original designer during his work on The Complete Ark Jim dubbed the cruiser "The Victory". Visit Jim's blog Disciples of Boltax for more of his thoughts on these models.

Thanks for the English translations of the Trainbots' names, JelZe. I always wondered what their names meant.

The Trainbots were the only ones w/o English names, right?

Thinking about this ship, the Victory... and the Nemesis. Which one was the ship fans have accepted as the one where all the season 2 conehead seekers were on and 'rescued'? I remember watching specifically for which ship landed where, etc.... but the ships all kinda look the same.

Anyone have a definitive list of ships and their resting places up their sleeve? (ha)

The Victory is the one which crashed into the ocean in MTMTE3.

The TFs Wiki page tells you what happened to the Nemesis (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Nemesis_(G1)) in the different continuities.

I think the confusion comes from BW calling the ship in the ocean the Nemesis. Of course, the name of the ship crashing into the ocean in MTMTE3 was retconed, so maybe that explains the inconsistency, although in the cartoon, there are definitely two different Decepticon ships.

No problemo, gothsaurus.

Since it's been 20-something years (man, I'm old) since I last saw the episodes in question, I didn't recall what happened to the Nemesis in the G1 cartoon myself. All I remembered was it spinning out of control in MTMTE1. I had just assumed it went back to Cybertron b/c it definitely wasn't the ship that crashed into the ocean in MTMTE3.
