BBTS has D.I.A Commander up for Pre-Order

It really seems like FansProject and even BBTS in this instance have bought/made more of these things than they'll be able to deal with.

I just got an email from an ebay seller with that 119.00 price, shipped..plus bonus on the upgrade for the aerial bot combiner..60.00..

so I am wondering..

should I just keep my TFCOn version and buy the City commander version at 199.00 or should I buy the chromed version for 119.00 and get the FP G3 TRAILER..??

I would rather have the Ultra Magnus CC armor so I got both of them standing next to each other, brothers at arms.. but from a collection stand point, I'm still not sure what I want to do.. I mean 199.00 is allot of dough and I still need to get the Prime/Ultra Magnus 2 pack..

I haven't been into Classics till I saw the Sideswipe, and the Other Cars..and this armor upgrade..


what scares me is I pay 199.00 for a TFCON city commander figure upgrade, and then end up FP releases a Chrome version of CC for the japanese market.. for 80 bucks less..

I think the superion add-on set runs from $45-$50 (check BBTS) so $60 for it isn't a deal. If it's $60 for the G3 trailer then that'd be cheaper then the $80 BBTS is charging.

Magnus is going to set you back $200+ either way. It's a nice toy for $100 but $200. . .

Have you considered just buying a G3 but passing up on both the Magnus AND D.I.A.?

I just ordered it form BBTS solely to have it hitched behind their Optimus trailer! Seriously, I don't quite get all the hubbub about this thing. I get the "exclusive lol not really" rage but I don't understand the desire for an upgrade product for something that isn't technically Transformers. If Optimus ever wore this in the G1 cartoon or Marvel comic I'd understand its appeal better. As it stands, it's just a new spin on the old complaint that every Optimus most be painted white for Magnus and black for Nemesis. Now Magnus has to be painted red for Optimus! It's reverse robo discrimination!

That's pretty sharp. We all need to color one in and submit them to FP. Perhaps we can all have a hand in designing the next dozen or so "exclusive" armor sets.

I've ordered one... but I feel dirty doing so. I hate that there's so much controversy swirling around about this set and FP right now. They do such great work but really screwed the pooch here IMO.

I'm also really surprised that they're making so many. Seems like too much of a good thing.

yeah, I Suppose.. the only thing that angers me is that I paid allot for the TFCON version..and they go and do this.. but that's not a big deal since I will be getting the G3 trailer, and possibly the city commander and magnus figure.. so all is good for now then atleast..

on a side note, I may color one of these my own way to see what it would look like.. if they did a different version..

Well, I preordered one of these. I'm not sure I'll keep it though. I don't have a Henkei Convoy, or an extra Classics Prime, and I prefer the TFCon deco, without the chrome. I've wanted a Powered Commander armor since FP first made CC though, so I'm torn on what to do.

actually what I'm thinking of doing is just going for the CC upgrade, and buying a 2 pack with prime and UM..then getting the G3 and passing up the D.I.A. version..

In my mind, the CC is not chromed and would match my PC Prime better..

as for the G3 I think i saw a preorder for it on BTS for 79.00 so I suppose it's more expensive then i thought it was gonna be..

what i like is I'll be able to pose the 2 together, and in vehicle mode, Prime will have his trailer and armor in tow, while Magnus will have his armor in tow..

I don't think i want the nemesis version.. it just seems like a waist to have that, especially when i need to concentrate on getting the seekers and other villains...
