Strangely enough, an Autobot Planet key is shown inside his package. Noisemaze (GX-01), is a faction switching Transformer who becomes a Decepticon upon inserting his Decepticon Planet Key. Soundwave's key may be a mistake by toy show personell, or perhaps Soundwave (GX-02) shares the ability to switch sides only in reverse.
