With the recent release of the Alternity seekers, and Device Label Cheetor, it might seem that Takara Tomy is busy with Transformers. However they aren't done just yet. This summer and the rest of the year looks to be packed with an assortment of Transformers, for the every day fan to the hardcore collector.

Inside Dengeki Hobby July 2010 we find that Transformers Animated continues in Japan, with the release of five figures, Jetfire, Jetstorm, Skywarp, Activators Thundercracker and Activators Soundblaster. Disney Label Buzz Lightyear will be released shortly, while Takara's 'Welcome to 2010' Campaign is about kickstart with MP-4S Sleep Convoy. The Masterpiece is joined with a Generation One homage from Armada Unicron. The next set is titled 'Sons of Cybertron', which features Animated Rodimus Minor and Optimus Prime in the popular crystal clear plastic. The Animated Skywarp is unbelievably slick. I hope it looks a least half that good when I actually get it.

The "Sons Of Cybertron" set is a must buy for me. And that Burning Gundam(I think that's him, could be Shining) looks really nice too.

I remember something being said about it, but didnt Hasbro say they were going to release Blackout, Rodimus and a voyager Thundercracker like they did Arcee and Rachet as some sort of store exclusive?

We're still hoping, but with the new lines creeping closer it soon fades...

I honestly don't see why they couldn't just release them as part of the Generations line.

For starters, the styles don't match. Secondly, some of those releases are Voyager Class, a size class Generations does not encompass.

I don't think the style matters at all. War For Cybertron doesn't match classics-style figures, but they're still under the same line. Look at the first Universe line, it encompassed repaints of all different lines. Universe 2.0 also had numerous repaints from previous lines. I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to think they might release some Animated toys under Generations.

The size class point is a good one, though. Have they stated that Generations will only consist of Deluxes for the entire duration of the line, or is it just for now? I could easily see them introducing Voyagers later on.

If there were any Voyager Class Generations figures we would have seen them by now. The first 2 waves of each class has been officially announced so far.

Actually no...I prefer the Japanese original title because the US was waaay too late in bringing G Gundam over, that my friend is God Gundam, along with ZZ Gundam. I assume they are doing the HGUC 1/144 scale re-release of ZZ Gundam, but it looks like HGUC will encompass Other lines instead of the UC timeline form Gundam.

That whole Burning Gundam is just crap. Referring to it as God Gundam would piss off some people if you get my drift
