It's funny what a different colour scheme and tank barrel will do. Even with all the jet stuff in the back, Blitzwing's tank mode suddenly feels a lot more closer to a real-life tank than Megatron, whose tank mode I felt was very alien.

Just got out my Megatron to check - its the same, detailing and length and all. I think it's the nosecone being a different colour to the cockpit that's making it look longer compared to Megatron's nosecone and cockpit both being gray. Or maybe the angle.

Ramhorn looks completely adorable. Him and Shuffler will be mine! MINE!
Blitzwing looks great. The stickers are crap for certain but that aside he looks awesome. The decision to give him a purple tank barrel is a bit weird though, might have to repaint that. Also I kinda wish he had Megatron's short tank barrel if only because it reminded me of one of the German light Panzers, and Panzers are cool.
Octane...Eh. Truck mode looks good and the robot mode is great, but the jet mode, improved though it is, still looks awful. I might go for Unique Toys Provider instead- sure it's technically MP scale but he looks fine next to CHUG in vehicle mode, and I'm OK with Octane being a hulking robot that towers over the others. I do still want the mold though, albeit as Scourge rather than Octane or Optimus.

Actually, Blitzwing does have Megatron's short tank barrel -- while these pictures don't show it, the CG renders and other previous photos show that the tank barrel he has here is just a new gun he has in place of Megatron's fusion cannon.

I really hate how that barrel is purple and not beige to go with the tank. I am sure its a better toy than the thrilling 30 blitzwing, but I dont think it looks better.

Yeah, I don't get that either. That said, Tamiya do some very good spray-cans that should match up to Blitzwing's beige fairly well, and being a single monocolour detachable piece, it should in theory be easy enough to spray. They do potted paint as well but then you're getting into airbrushing, which is a whole other area. Obviously it's not ideal, but at least it is fairly easy to rectify. I do wish they'd just made his barrel the right colour in the first place though.
I do wish T30 Blitzwing didn't suck so much. His robot mode is alright and I like that they included the Animated homage. But the vehicle modes suck, the face gimmick needs fixing and his shoulders are a mess. I'm glad I never picked him up.

If they'd be a bit less G1 with joints about it - Blitzwing could have benefited from a tank gun barrel that telescoped down and also that came off to combine with his sword to make a nice pole arm.
I like them both though "a lot". Optimus is really cheap now so I'd say buy him as a nice toy he's worth it and even more so when he's about half the price of a Movie Voyager.
I'd not even complain to much if they made Skywarp out of the Triplechanger Blitzwing mould too... ideally with a new head and chest. Or just when a bit nuts and made Fearswoop out of it.
Something random would be nice - but the best fit is likely Flywheels so anymore repaints I wan't him over anything else - though I'd also be fine with the Generations Thrilling 30 mould too for him.

I put Skullsmasher's tail on the side of his arm like RodimusConvoy13 did a page or so ago and took some pictures to better show how it goes on.
The first time was really easy but the second time I put it on it took a bit more work. The peg goes in at a slight angle.

Is Ramhorn a retool of Shuffler?
Also for some reason Blitzwing and Octane look like redecos of Optimus Prime and Megatron to me while Sentinel Prime looks like a redeco of Astrotrain which it is but I'm confused why I think Blitzwing and Octane are redeocs of Optimus Prime and Megatron.

...I think he's saying that to him, Astrotrain seems like the main use of the mold, while Sentinel is the redeco. But with Prime and Megs, they seem like the main use, while Octane and Blitzwing are the redecos.

For Octane that makes sense, since as I've noted before, the robot mode is modeled heavily after Laser Prime rather than any specific version of Octane.

I understand the logic, but it would made a pretty lazy recolor at the end. The Leader and deluxe of this pack will need to be really attractive.

Don't be surprised, but the Tank/jet one's robot mode is based more on Megatron than on Blitzwing. You can definitely tell by the abdomen, which is styled after the Decepticon Leader.
And yes, Ramhorn is a retool of Shuffler. Quite surprising really, as he's the first one in which the vehicle is retooled as well.

Yep.
While I've gotten over my absolute hatred of the gimmick, I still don't care for it. I've already lost Hotrod's head and had to get a shapeways replacement. Luckily it is based on mtmte, so it's better, but it doesn't bode well for the future.
