Generations Selects Shattered Glass Optimus Prime & Ratchet 2-Pack and more from Entertainment Earth

This is probably the only Earthrise Prime that I'll get, but he looks awesome! Ratchet is a meh, but unlike the Prowl and Ironhide pack, it's worth it to get the other figure.

I wonder how sg prime's grey compares to the Netflix nemesis.

I forgot that was even a thing, I was thinking this was the first SG Ratchet. Botcon posted the original artwork, I dont think I noticed the original SG Ratchet was derived from the Energon Inferno/Roadbuster mold

Wasn’t SG the creation of Fun Publications and not IDW? Hasbro seems to be a bit confused/rewriting history a bit here.

As a huge Shattered Glass fan, I'm happy to see the representation, but definitely would have gone with Sideswipe or Wheeljack over Ratchet. The feet definitely stick out like a sore thumb. And to the earlier comment, Fun Pub made SG while given the Transformers license on a temporary basis, so I'm sure HasTak own all the rights to the various characters. Although...not like it matters, since Fun Pub shut down back in '18.

Now this is a repaint i can get behind. Always wanted SG figures, but never got it due to the price. These seems to be way more reasonable, price-wise. And as i haven't got ER optimus (really didn't care about the trailer), this will be my first experience with the mold.

Eh, I still think proper attribution of literary sources is important. We don’t say someone else currently alive wrote the works of Shakespeare just because he’s not around anymore. It would be one thing if HasTak just mentioned the comic series and acted like they owned it outright (which they technically do). But attributing it to IDW when they had no direct part as far as I know just doesn’t vibe right with me.

Oh this makes me so happy. Growing up with Beast Wars, seeing the various references on the package really hits the childhood button (especially the golden disk as the background insert in the package.)
