Has Nelson Revealed the Name of the Mercedes Bot?

Potential spoiler ahead-stop reading now if you do not want to know more.

Michael Bay's ShootfortheEdit.com admin Nelson has posted a picture of the Mercedes E550 to what appears to be his personal Flickr account. As we all found out the other day from Nelson, this car apparently becomes the robot with the Einstein-styled head and is not going to be Jolt. What's interesting is that he calls the new character "Q". Whether this is the actual character name in a nod to James Bond, a clue this that name actually eludes to a name like Alpha Quintesson or Alpha Q, or simply a hint that this character is the gadget guy/inventor in TF3 (Wheeljack perhaps) is yet to be seen.

I hope these films follow the Batman trend.

TF1 - 89 Keaton Batman that was/is great.

TF2 - Batman Forever. Flashy, likeable in places but goofy aspects definitely kicking in.

TF3 - Batman and Robin. Ruins the franchise resulting in a reboot years later ala Batman Begins.

I'm sorry but the goofiness of the Twins with their Buckteeth and the Harry Potter-esque Jetfire ruined my enjoyment of ROTF. Though even they failed in terms of blackboard scraping annoyance when compared to the HORRIBLE,HORRIBLE LEO!!! Wasn't big on Scalpel and that stupid accent either.

To see that Einstein bot being touted for TF3 shows the trend is going to continue. A shame because TF1 was fantastic so why ruin the franchise by going the ROTF route and continuing it in the third?

I did like the Decepticons in ROTF, including the Fallen, but the jokey stuff just poisoned the formula.

I just look at all this stuff we see and smile... like it or lump it, it's happening.

We are bound to get slapstick humor, and other silly things that should not belong in a TF movie. At least in my world. However, this is Bay's world, and we're all just living his dream.

had feeling that it would not be perceptor or wheeljack with head like that who would mr bay pick name like for character for head like that it would be an oddball name Q i was ecpting the name to be bad but not that bad

As soon as I got to "Q", first thing I thought was "Quintesson". Definitely. They look so much alike, they could be twins! Same butt-ugly faces, tentacles.... Primus, I could go on forever! :lol:

I read your post...to give you an idea of what kind of a day I had at work, I saw the word "tentacles" and thought there was an "s" in there instead of the "n"...

Perceptor,
Dr.Archiville-Kinda looks like him.
Wreckgar-I know its along shot,but if it could work for the twins why not him.

For all I know this could be bay's way of putting Wreckgar/Junkions in to the movie.this could be how he first appears,then something happens,and then the next thing you know he get's turned in to a Garbage Truck

So I think we are definitively looking at a dodgy German accent on this robot. Something straight out of 'Allo 'Allo/ Hogan's Heroes.

Do we think "Vealjack?"

Still happy that there seems to be a load of cars in this one. Should be one ore two memorable robots in this.

Happy that the finale takes place in a big city rather than out in the desert.

Giant City trashing robots is what I'm looking for. Lets get some cities trashed!

This, so much, why not try to get Glen back? Leo is just annoying, I hated him from the start...which is kinda dumb but then...it turns out he was just as annoying as I thought!

Don't get caught up in the hype, Trust your own impressions. When you watch the film, remember what was happening around you.Remember your own reactions whilst others were filtering through the possibilities.
If we wait long enough, speculation filters down to a handful of reasonable theories which then get worked through to logical conclusions, albeit of varying possibility at times. All of us should try to chip in to do the riddle solving but in the end we pretty much always end up with pleasant explanations rather than unpleasant ones.Sometimes we even predict things correctly straight out!

You know....I read alot of this and agree the head is another abomination but there's only one thing I really got out of this whole thread....

The damn Twins are in the entire movie.....huh. Cause if all this halabaloo about chicago being the finale and the Twins are in chicago.....damn.

On top of that the Stunticons might not be stunticons, therefore no giant combiner, drats.....

Alright well this at least saves me a trip waiting in line or spending more money then I should for usless bells and whistles. I'll be in the other line for Pirates 4, which I believe might also be in 3D ha ha ha
