iGear PP03 Coneheads Available For Pre-Order

wow, even if these are knockoffs you have to admit that these are some of the most impressive representation of the conheads we've seen. Granted I do own Igear's mini-masterpiece (oxymoron) Optimus Prime and even though the quality is not on par with that of FansProjects, it is still a good looking figure and fits well with the Classics/Generation toys. I am really looking forward to a Mini-MP Megatron. I however will pass on these due to the high price, it is non Has-Tak Sanctioned (not that it has stopped me before...but I rather own it if it is originaly), and the one question that is plaguing me is...what if Has-Tak decides to release the coneheads (c'mon Has-Tak, you have the mold...just tweak the damn thing, these guys are profiting where you guys are fumbling the damn ball!), seeing that Igear could "get away" with releasing a mini-MP Prime, how will Igear justify these figures seeing that they may be about the same size as the regular sized MP seekers

I really want to preorder the three pack, but I have reservations. Price isn't the issue. I figured they would be right aroung a hundred bucks a piece, but the shipping alone will be another $108.00! My concern is Takara doing official releases. As great as these look I would prefer official versions, and I can't imagine them not modifying their existing molds to create the coneheads. It seems like a no-brainer. On the other hand I don't want to miss out on these on the off chance Takara never does a release. In addition to that iGear requires you to pay up front for preorders, so once you're in, you're in.

I'm in the same boat as you dude. I'd hate to get these and then they get an official release, probably for a better price too.

These look really good IMHO but I'm not very fond of the heads themselves. The fact they are shorter than the rest of the seekers is what really kills it for me though

yeah they look good no doubt! Not 100 bucks each good though.

Thanks for the pics. These are actually the same size as the official MP Seekers according to their site and the various pics seems to confirm it. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the three pack, so I'm going to have a complete set of MP Seekers one way or another.

The coneheads are seekers (starscream's body type) that have cones on their head. They are not as fast as regular seekers, but stronger and more durable.
