Hmmm, the name + apparent articulation makes me want to buy one to see just how soft they really are.

Cheetor's Authentics art is cool, I really like it, looks fierce.
But what is up with Grimlock and those arms!?

A say-no-to-drugs campaign where Grimlock takes cyber-steroids so he can also punch-butt in T-Rex mode, but the rest of his body loses mass as a result?Emerje wrote:Cheetor's Authentics art is cool, I really like it, looks fierce.

Not that soft. They are pretty much the same plastic Hasbro uses for horns or pointy weapons on TF toys.

Pfft. Technically, ANY action figure is 'squeezable' in the sense that you can hold it in your hand and perform the physical act of squeezing it with your fingers. The title 'squeezeable' infers that these figures are designed to be soft and squishy. It sounds like these are just R.E.D. figures with less articulation, crummier paint, and poorer sculpting. What a violation of truth-in-advertising!

judging by Megatron it looks like these are from the upcoming transformers on ice special.
Cheetor looks better than his deluxe toy so they have one win I guess.

When we made our story on the Transformers Squeezeling toys last week, some good questions came up like: how squeezable are they. Turns out, not very. So while the toys don't have much going for them already, they can't even fulfill the "promise" of the packaging. The very short review demonstrates all that you need to know for these toys, like that if ever you see them at a dollar store, you'll know what you are in for. Enjoy!

Of course you can't like that--you've gotta boil it, so the plastic gets soft.

I saw them at a local dollar store.
For the price, these are a hard pass.

Agreed. Megs and Cheetor look slightly tempting, but my actually buying them will depend on their ever being dumped at Dollar Tree. I consider that possible because one D.T. near me got a few cases of mainline Star Wars figures a few Christmas seasons ago, even if it was a one time fluke.

For $5 I'd happily impulse buy one of these to add to my Garry Primal collection.

You Americans thought the Canadians were getting all the fun with their newly found Transformers Squeezling toys but Hasbro wants to make sure you get in on the fun as well. While the individual bots have yet to be released, a 4 pack of the same toys has been found in the US at TJ Maxx. The specific listing below comes from Puyallup, Washington, courtesy of Vector Oracle.
The 4 pack has Optimus Prime, Optimus Primal, Bumblebee and Megatron, and excludes Cheetor and Grimlock. All jokes aside, if you are curious about what these toys entail, here is a review of Optimus Primal. They are typical dollar store fodder.

Series 2? Does that mean Cheetor, Grimlock and two others are in series 1? Or are they calling the super deformed ones I'm seeing for the first time in a search, but apparently came out in blind bags in 2022, series 1? Weird. I have to go into town later, maybe I'll stop by and see what they've got.
