Oh huh, didn't see those extra ones go up. That's.. certainly some kind of vehicle, for sure.
Doesn't look too bad in profile actually, the front-on shots were giving it a very generic fold-up look but I quite like the angle created by the arms. Might just be the lighting but I think it looks better in the profile shot from Nov 22 if you have that.

Not a terrible alt-mode, but not awesome either. Overall I dig it though. It'll be interesting to see what the final plastic & paint color choices are.

I'm not sure the front's mis-transformed, considering that the bumper & fog lights are painted. With 2 unpainted headlights visible too. The prominent hinges are unfortunate, but I have the idea of painting it blue and through the off-white windshield "frame" & roof so they look like racing stripes like Jazz/Bayverse Camaro Bee got.
Not what I wanted as Prima's alt mode, but I like it. It's an aggressive looking rover. And with an apparent 5mm hole and we don't know what the weapon accesory will look like, maybe it pegs into that hole and add a battering ram to it, like Legacy Infernac Magneous? That'll be even cooler.

I wasn't sold on the initial bot mode pics, it looked a hollow and cheap, but in these colors and seeing the alt mode, I like it. We'll see how it goes with the actual reveal, but so far I'm still on board with AOTP.

What you see in the pics should be the final colors

As Sentinel isn't one of 'the 13', if he is a retool it shouldn't effect 'the 13' each getting a figure distinct from each other.

I really wish Hasbro will do the 13 right by each having their own molds. But being Cocks' Hasbro, I'm sure a few will be retooled, just wish it's not between the 13.

True Sentinel isn't part of the Original Thriteen Primes. It's "AGE of the Primes", not "AGES" so the focus should be on the OG. And personally I have no need of a new Sentinel Prime unless it's done really well.
We had promotional poster reveals for the CHUG mainline every year for over a decade, with or without an accompanying show around early Octobers. What do we have for AOTP? Just a logo reveal iirc. Is this non-marketing strategy a means to introduce some mystique to the 13th? Is this winning over fans new & old in anticipation for the line?
I just wish Hasbro can spare a little bit of marketing budget to create some promotional media for the line even if Paramount/Nick/Netflix doesn't want to pickup a TV show. Even a motion comic video uploaded to YouTube will do, something to deepen the lore, back story of the toy line and better detailed bios will get people invested in the characters and buying the figures. It's far better than those one-line blurb in the back of the box.

The reason we already know such much about this line at this time is because of the leakers. Legacy United still isn't done yet, as there's still one more wave of Deluxes, Voyagers, and Leaders that has yet to be released as of this typing. Officially-speaking, we weren't supposed to know as much about this line as we already do at this point, and wouldn't have known as much if it hadn't been for the leakers spoiling so much about the line several months in advance of Hasbro's schedule of official announcements and reveals for it. The original leaks for this line were unprecedented in how early and how abundant they were in giving things away about this line so far ahead of Hasbro's official plans for it. We've been spoiled, and consequently those early spoilers have made us impatient and restless for something we were yet supposed to know so much about.cloudballoon wrote:We had promotional poster reveals for the CHUG mainline every year for over a decade, with or without an accompanying show around early Octobers. I get that the focus on the 13 Primes for '25 was leaked waaaaaaaaaaay early (back in Feb?) even of we didn't know the official name yet. But the toyline posters (with hints of possible characters) for the next year's toylines usually happened around early Octobers iirc since Siege if not earlier. But we're almost in December now and we still haven't seen the poster (which is also featured on one side/back of product package), that's why I wonder about the intentional "non" marketing material being a strategy to build up the mystique of the Primes.
We should have something like this about a month ago during Pulsecon:

It's also because Legacy United got an extension with another wave.cloudballoon wrote:I get that the focus on the 13 Primes for '25 was leaked waaaaaaaaaaay early (back in Feb?) even of we didn't know the official name yet. Ah I see. So we're seeing the poster in a month or two then. I didn't pay much attention to wave # when I PO my Ramjet. Amazon Canada had it as a March 12, '25 release. So AOTP will be start around June I guess...

I'm hoping he comes with a shield or something that will fill out the front of the alt mode a bit more. We haven't seen accessories yet so that could be why the front looks like something is missing.

Via @CsbiaoO_ again, here are some new pictures of the AOTP Armada Red Alert test shot, giving us our first look at the figure in robot mode (still minus the head).
He's shown standing next to Legacy United Silverbolt (Voyager) and next to the AOTP Prima test shot, so this also gives us a relative size reference for them. Quite a difference given that they're both listed as Voyager class in the waves leak!
The original images come from Baidu.

Looks o.k, yeah kind of short, but when most of the mass ends up on your back and your legs have to fit under the car mode, its kind of hard to be any bigger.
Also, seems like o'l Alert does not skip thigh day, like... at all.
Disappointing the chest does not open, at all. I was not expecting a disc launching gimmick, but some hinges and a molded slot would have been nice.
I'll keep my original one, and skip this one I think, unless the final colored version is really, really good looking.

Comparing against the figures in the back, it looks like he's pretty close in height to Siege/Earthrise Megatron if I'm seeing it correctly. So I think really it's Prima who's very tall for his class - he does seem to have lot of hollow space so I guess it must more or less balance out on plastic.

Not seeing the value of a Voyager class figure yet. It's about SS86 Ironhide/Ratchet's height, but nowhere near their complexity from the look of it - it's about as involved as a typical car to bot transformation. Give us a good Minicon Longarm then that should make this worth it.
But, I'll probably get this anyway as I want to complete my main 3 Armada autobot, then I just wish to see Demolishor. That's the only design left that I want in Armada.

It looks like this figure is going for cartoon-accurate scale, in which Red Alert was taller than Hot Shot but didn't tower over him nearly as much as the original toys did.cloudballoon wrote:Not seeing the value of a Voyager class figure yet.
