In-Package Images of ROTF Scout Wideload, FAB Night Blades Sideswipe

Wideload is atrocious.

Worst deco I've seen in a main-line figure since Universe's Tankor (the first Universe series for all the new-Jacks around here).

For some reason looking at Wideload, all I could think was that he looks likes he's suppose to be a Roller counterpoint for Ultra Magnus.

You mean the green and yellow one included with Obsidian? I actually like that one, but this toy could use some paint. Very cheap looking.

I think the choice of colours for Wideload is the main problem. Look at Rollbar and you'll see the same arrangement of different colours. It's just that the off white and grey don't make for the best pairing because there isn't a wide amount of contrast.

The two shades of blue, grey, and yellow of Rollbar make a better looking scheme than the off white, two greys, and orange of Wideload.

It's odd that Wideload seems to have the same blue head colour as Rollbar except the faceplate is white instead of silver and the headcrest and chin are orange instead of yellow. A matching dark grey could have been used for the helmet to keep things more consistent.

I like the figure, though. I think it'll look great next to Rollbar, who I have posed with his fists on his hips. The shell kibble makes him look like a caped robot super hero.

Wideload is gonna need a sidekick then.

The colours on Wideload are definitly more harmonious than Rollbar. But I'm still not sure.

Knowing UPS, they'll ship them but at the full cost rather than taking a cut as they are shipping them themselves, and whoa to anyone outside the states as UPS will use their own customs services and charge a crapload.

The sad part of all of that is I would actually be interested if a shipping company asked Hasbro to make those, especally as a UPS or DHL one might end up looking pretty spiffy.
