Do you feel under SIEGE from all of the news about Transformers War for Cybertron SIEGE toy line? "Not yet" you say? How about even more in-hand pictures of the just released War for Cybertron toys!

This time around, we've got some comparison pictures of SIEGE Micromasters WFC-S4 Roadhandler and Swindler, WFC-S5 Storm Cloud and Visper, and WFC-S6 Topshot and Flak alongside their other versions and with other toys from this line. Each Micromaster is a modern take on their G1 Micromaster versions but also can now combine into a weapon which larger Transformers action figures can utilize.

If you missed the news this past weekend, War for Cybertron SIEGE Battle Masters were already found at Target stores. You can find the DPCI codes in that article as well.

Don't forget to check out our in-hand comparison pics of SIEGE Battle Masters as well as our new galleries of War for Cybertron SIEGE Voyager Class Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Seibertron, any chance we can see some of these new Siege Micro Masters along with some of the earlier Micromaster homages as Targetmasters partners from the Trilling 30 Legends line up of figures, the little "triple changing" guys that came with Swerve, Tailgate, Cosmos, and the like? I'm sure they're going to be dwarfed by the new Siege figures, but it would be interesting to see just how big the size disparity will be.

In my collection, this Sideswipe is is a variante of Knockout BEAST HUNTERS or Crockout,he may look anorexique on the side, the secret is to put his weapon behind, some people rotate the jaw up,i prefer it down,i have put some yellow ont the circling part of his chest and paint in black his shoulders and hands.

This variante into my collection?Okay, but then,he is even more similar to hound, and i feel like i must choose beetween two clones.

These pics are greatm burt really highlight my issues with the Targetmasters of nboth lines. I always felt the Tkara figures were too big and clunky for the Deluxes to wield. Yes, I know the G1 Targetmasters were big boxes too, but there's a scaling difference. Nicely posable, and look better in the hands of a Voyager (Pinpointer in Cloud Ironhide as Croshairs) but too overkill for a smaller transformer. The Siege Targetmasters profile better in gun modes, but good god those colors are bright. It makes me feel like Hasbro hired an Easter Bunny to paint these, and in a toyline that is supposed to be Muted and battle damaged, pastel blue sticks out like a sore thumb. Blowpipe doesnt look like a good nmatch to Triggerhappy

I can't really see it either. It basically looks like a car on top of a car. In addition, they don't seem to hold together very well either, nor does the Battle Patrol, unless I'm doing something wrong. By comparison, the Air Strike Patrol snaps together very well.

Yah the colors are off to me as well. Especially Firedrive, who is basically white now instead of gray or silver.

its kind of disappointing that the target masters look bigger than the legends counterpart and lose the articulation in the legs. hasbro was all about more articulation for this line and they go and take pre-existing tooling and change it to remove articulation. a shame because i think it would have been awesome to have fully articulate target masters. that would, IMO, made these versions better if they retained the knee and added elbows.

But they're not retools of the Legends Target Masters. They're completely new sculpts/molds.

Great galleries Seibs! I'm excited for all these little accessory bots!

Look up DeLorean and especially its founder with his... dubious practices.

Fun fact: The DeLorean is actually a very well-designed car. The problem was that they couldn't get the engine they wanted for it, and as such it was woefully underpowered when it went into production. Someone replaced the engine in one and it was apparently a dream to drive.

Even more ironically, Mr. DeLorean was actually more the Swindled than a Swindler; his company was close to bankruptcy and he got unwittingly roped into a drug sting operation (being told he could save his company). As it happens he won the trial on grounds of entrapment, but his reputation was wrecked and the company fell apart.

Poor, poor Mr. DeLorean.

they do look very similar in design so maybe not retools exactly, but the point is just that, they are new molds (almost up-scaling of the legends design) and that money and time could have been better spent taking the legends mold and giving it more articulation.

Maybe the Legends Targetmaster molds didn't conform to Hasbro's toy standards. Like, if they had too many tiny pieces that small children could choke on or something.

Hasbro will keep being 'cheap' as long as they operate on the 'action figures at retail' model, which I understand they still do because the brand apparently still sell to kids. People seem to always forget Takara doesn't abide by things such as a 'price point' because they used sell their figures not in waves in stores mom and pops-types go to but rather purely as collector stuff.

In other words, Takara in their Legends day just sold whatever the hell they wanted and it was aimed at fanboys and collectors in the same kind of market things like S.H. Figurarts and Revoltech were. Hasbro meanwhile still intend to stick to a model which is based off 1980 toy selling because it's still (kind of) working.

Or more likely: they were too expensive to produce for their size, especially with the metal pins.

Those 'weapon modes' for the Micromasters still look embarrasing and dodgy but the figures themselves are nice updates of the originals. Roughly same size with better articulation. They still don't really go with regular size TFs (how the heck are Roadhandler and Swindler supposed to turn into cars the same size as Sideswipes car?) but would be cool to see them interacting with the old bases particularly Countdown's rocket base (which I used to have and love). And if pics like that have been shown already then sorry i haven't checked all pages. :P

I wonder if its qc, I hope so for the battle patrol. How stable is the air patrol when combined? I was quite happy to see that mode reminds me of the star Saber from armada.

I don't think the Micromasters are supposed to be the same size in their alt modes as the larger Transformers. They're called micromasters and I think that name actually means that they're smaller within the fiction itself and I can't remember where I'm getting this from but I swear that the Beast Wars Transformers took to how the Micromasters had downsized from larger Transformers. Or maybe that was some fan cannon that I hadn't from back in the day

IIRC it was fan-canon for a long time before future writers just went 'yeah, basically it's canon' in all future material. The show clearly state (and later show) that Maximals and Predacons are much, MUCH smaller than their ancestors and more energy-efficient (with Megatron calling the older cybertronians 'archaic guzzlers'). So while the writers may not had heard of the term 'Micromaster' it was clear even in the show's writing and dialogue that they had come to the same conclusion, which is that Cybertronian would become smaller and more energy-efficient.

Which was exactly the point of Micromasters.
