Yes, that's right, the next crossover hitting shelves will be Jurassic Park x Transformers! While it has been rumoured for a while, with the toy being 'Rexy' from the Transformers Kingdom Leader Class Beast Megatron mold, there might be more coming...
In the Instagram Post, they also tagged Ford, the car manufacturer who made the iconic Ford Explorers used in the film. Could this mean we may be seeing one of the recently released Car alt mode Transformers bearing those colours?
We'll bring you more information on this crossover when we get it!
If course this isn't the only crossover news today as listings have revealed a Universal Dracula x Transformers figure as well as a Amazon Prime Optimus Prime.
What do you think of this news? Excited to see this crossover?

SO I'm guessing its the SUV with the "interactive CD Rom"..
Question is will it turn into Alan Grant, Ian Malcom, Gennaro? Maybe into Nedry-tron?

The electric touring cars were modified Ford Explorers.

Correct. The Jeeps they get picked up at the beginning from the helicopter Pad are actual Jeeps.
The SUVs used in the tour were Ford Explorers..

And then hopefully a retooled into Selects Rollbar, as it time the Throttlebots get some love.

I'd be more down for a "Rexy" if my first BW Megatron didn't have the back kibble break off. That's a toy I will just never transform again.

Well yeah, because the toys available were all vehicles, and it matched the iconic vehicles from the films.
But now we have a T-Rex mold available and it will match the iconic T-rex from that film, the teaser is even a t-rex foot. You guys arent getting a vehicle for this one.

I'd agree except for:

Chatter around is that we're getting a two pack of sorts, Rexy vs the Ford Explorer

That would be interesting. May just make me try to get the 2 pack if its true.
Wonder wether they'd make a new mold for the Explorers or use an existing one and if so who?
My money is on Trailbreaker.
Also with all the skeleton dinosaurs we got in Kingdom, how likely is they'd include one of those too? Raptor Fossil anyone?

Yeah, took me a second to realize we already have an SUV mold they can use. Minimal retool too.

If they're doing the Ford Explorer, I would actually expect (and hope) for a retool and re-shell of either Ectotron or Studio Series Ratchet (or maaaaybe a retool of one of the Dreads; the 2007 Stockade mold would also work but I doubt they'd dig that dinosaur up).
The people speculating Trailbreaker as a basis for the Explorer seem to be overlooking the fact that he's a 2-door vehicle and the Park Drive Ford Explorers were 4-door SUVs. Pretty sure they'd have to do some extra stretching work to make him pull it off, and he'd probably end up with a still-longer backpack.

1. I'm pretty sure the SS molds are off limits for anything but the Movies. The designs technically belong to Paramount and I don't think they allow that type of usage.
2. Even if they could use them, Ratchet is a Hummer, and the dreads are Chevrolet Suburbans and Tahoes. Both are far cries from an Explorer. I doubt either Ford or Chevy would be happy about their designs being used for a rival company's vehicle or on a rival company's vehicle.
3. Ectotron might have worked, but they would have to jack him up to SUV height, and of course tool a new car shell. Trailbreaker is 2 door, but it can easily be retooled into a 4 door, and can pass for a Ford. Unless they are going for an officially licensed vehicle which has not been the case with the previous crossovers. In which case they'd still need to tool a fully licensed Ford Explorer car shell either way.
Trailbreaker is the closest thing Hasbro currently has to a Ford Explorer.
If we're just asking for weird molds they can use for it, they could totally bring back Armada Red Alert. He's even closer to an Explorer:

Jetfire => X-Spanse

Considering the amount of retooling and new parts that went into X-Panse, its hardly Jetfire anymore. May have just avoided that. no other mold has been used from there for anything else.

So far all of the X-Over figures have been heavy retools. I expect Rexy might have retooled dino & bot mode heads, and maybe an altered chest, but nothing as extreme as Ectotron. So I think it's within the realm of reason to think they might retool a movie SUV bot past the point of recognition.
Still calling Earthrise Ironhide, though.
