Oh no...SC style combiners getting new components?! That combine all together to form a super powerful version?!

They're going power rangers on us!

How big are the prime and Deathsaurus?

Hmm. I'm not as impressed as I thought I'd be. They're impressive for what they are, no denying, but just not as impressed.

Doesn't give me a lot of hope for Fortress Maximus. Crap in a hat.

They're like gum/candy toys. They're not meant to be that impressive.

at least we get to have an on hand experience to build them by outselve. Unless a KO one can make a better size and more articulation available. :HEADHURTS:

That's not a bad Defensor at all. Ya gotta admit that for what it is it's still better than any combiners we've "officially" received in the past decade. seriously.

Well, G1 and Kabaya are cut a LOT more slack than modern, full-sized combiners. Our levels of expenctation are set so low that it doesn't take a whole lot to impress us.

In comparison RotF Legends Devestator is pretty good as a combiner. The movie style isn't really my thing, but I picked him up and found him to be pretty good for what he was.

Oh, I'm not saying it's not an impressive piece, as it is. It just didn't impress me as much as I had hoped.

What really spoiled me was Bandai's candy toys. They tend to blow TakaraTomy's out of the water, really.

The Bandai Sentai candy toys are usually better than their DX counterparts.

Im on the bandwagon that this is fairly impressive compared to the other combiners we got lately... not counting the ones post third party awesomizing of course. The only thing that really has this set beat is the individual robot modes, well except DOTM devastator since he has no individual bot modes. Although again... this is a cheap candy toy, I can only imagine what kabaya could do on a larger budget.

Plus its defensor, he hasnt got any love in a long time. I hope kabaya does some of the other unloved combiners next; computron, menasor, or abombinus would be great. :D

We have all seen those video reviews for Transformers figures in which the host goes on and on about the shade of blue font underneath the box. When really, we are only looking for as much information as possible on the toy. Well youtube.com user, YouHeidx has a review video of the Kabaya Gaia Guardian set. From opening box, threw the assembly process and into comibining robots, this video is extremely entertaining and informative. Check it out below or click here to visit YouHeidx's youtube.com channel.

Very good video!
But I just need some clarifications first.

You guys say they are "candy toys".

Can we eat them? how do they taste? I do hope the stickers are edible.

How sturdy are they? should you use glue (a non-toxic glue, of course) or they snap well together? What kind of glue to use so the taste of the toy remain tasty?

Summer is comming soon and I do hope these luxury treats will not attract ants.

The reason behind being called candy toys is each set comes with a sugar candy
