Ooh... Much better than the previous series!
Both the Ultra Magnus and the Skyfire are excellent, and I believe the Prowl is pretty good too. do these have the same tranformation scheme as the original versions? And does anyone have comparison shots of the previous series with their true life counterparts?

Transformation of these sometimes require take out certain parts and pluck into specific places. Not the traditional transformation process.
I would say this is similar to scout size. Definitely bigger than legend class but smaller than deluxe class

UM seems to be based on the Titanium figure, kinda sad how much nicer it looks than that disappointment. If only they'd worked on the design for a bit longer and made the original an Ultra-class rather than a Titanium, people might not be scouring the internet for barely-painted white primes and third-party add-ons...

Pretty cool, but I saw the Classics Prime version in hand and thought it was horrible as in it falls apart.

Well, they're more small half-transforming model kits than actual TFs. I'm pretty happy with my Star Saber, he lives with my WSTs. As will Ultra Magnus, if the cab ends up a similar size. :D

  That UMagnus shall be mine! I love the missile launchers mounted on the side just like the cartoon. FINALLY!

It's funny the box shows UMagnus chest more like the cartoon but the standalone picture has him like the Titanium line. This including the black gun as well. From the pic, it seems they made improvement in the shoulder. It doesn't position too far out toward the rear in contrast to the Titanium.

Great! Just Fan-Frick'n-Tastic! This looks like yet another line I will need to start collecting! Why did I start collecting Transformers again? When I was 10, collecting them emptied my walled and made me poor. I had a good 20 years where I was free from this addiction. WHY DID I START THE HABIT AGAIN!?!?!

That Magnus looks awesome. Must get.

I have gotten quite a few Kabaya kits over the years and I love them. My favourites being Highbrow, Brainstorm and Road Caeser.

I have 2 questions regareding this set.

1) Are they pre-painted as you usually have to paint the other kits?

2) Is that Prowl scout size? Because if he is, he may have just become my favourite TF. Only problem then will be I'll have to get 5 of them so the others can be repainted as Bluestreak, Smokescreen, Streetstar (Streetwise) and Rapido. Maybe Barricade too.

1) I believe they come with sticker sheets, and based on the review I watched, dude said they don't stick for s**t.

2) Again, based on the review of a couple of the first round of these figs, it's highly unlikely these are capable of being anyone's fave TF figs. The quality looks half-arsed (they're figs from a candy box for cripes sake) and they're not honest to goodness TF figs. They sort of transform by removing parts and putting them back together, but it's not seamless. I'm sure a lot of people can appreciate them for what they are, but you probably shouldn't buy these with the expectation you're getting an awesome "action figure".

*Here's the review I speak of...this should give you an idea of what to expect from these things:

**Re-reading the part of the quote I snipped, you're somewhat familiar with these things so maybe you will dig 'em to no end...

Well from the ones I have, I've found them to be a smaller but faithful representation of the official G1 toys. Blaster is the same size as G1 Springer in Bot mode while Gripper and co are the same size as Actionmasters.

My only problem is having to paint them but otherwise I love them. Highbrow and Brainstorm are also Actionmaster size and when repainted, look great against Snapdragon's dinosaur mode or the towering Scorponok.

I'd love to get Hardhead, Weirdwolf and the rest in the same scale.

Like I said, they're exactly like the originals only smaller so if Classics Prowl is as faithful as the G1's I have, he really would be nicely articulated and I'd love him as a Basic/Scout because I think Deluxe is too big for the cars especially when the Seekers are the same size.

Appreciate the link btw. Thanks.

Interesting, I havent seen toys packaged with gum since the late 1980's. I thought newer laws prohibit gum being thrown into a pack with non food items. Anybody remember those sticks of gum that came with Garbage Pail Kids trading cards ??? The stick of gum used to be so hard and brittle you could throw it against the wall and make it crack into pieces...

Seems like UMagnus is designed similarly to his titanium line likeness.

These are from Japan where people have more common sense so they probably don't have such laws.
