New Galleries: Transformers Cyberworld Cyber Changers Wave 1

Enter the Cyberworld

Seibertron.com is proud to launch our first Transformers Cyberworld toy galleries! The opening wave of Cyber Changers has arrived, featuring Snarl, Sky-Byte, Megatron, and Optimus Prime.

Transformers: Cyberworld is Hasbro’s newest cartoon tie-in line, built around a unified 4-inch scale and designed for cross-compatibility across all price points. Whether city, desert, ocean, or jungle, every character is tied to one of Cyberworld’s environments, bringing fresh alt mode choices and play features. Factions take a back seat in this line, putting the focus on the environments themselves.

The Cyber Changers are the core assortment. These figures feature shoulder, hip, and knee articulation and use internal auto-transform mechanisms that handle some of the conversion. While the simplicity of this style has been divisive among fans, the molds still feature some nice detailing that stands out in this scale. Wave 1 includes Optimus Prime, Megatron, Snarl, and Sky-Byte.

These are the very first of many Cyberworld galleries to come. Work on photographing the first three waves has been ongoing since late July, and more characters will be added to Seibertron.com soon. As always, we present these toys in the same way we do any Transformers figures, and we look forward to hearing what fans think of the line in our Energon Pub forums.

I LOVE this line. The toys look great, are weird and original, and are fun to fiddle with. Totally a worthy entry to the Galleries!

Cyberworld Cyber Changers Wave 2

Seibertron.com continues our coverage of the Transformers Cyberworld line with new galleries from the second wave of Cyber Changers. Following up on the Wave 1 Cyber Changers we shared recently, Wave 2 adds four more characters to the lineup: Bumblebee, Elita-1, Wheeljack, and Starscream.

Like Wave 1, these four-inch figures feature shoulder, hip, and knee articulation along with quick-change transformations. Each one is also tied to one of Cyberworld’s four environments:

  • Bumblebee (Desert) transforms into an offroad car in two steps.
  • Elita-1 (Ocean) converts into a futuristic speedboat in three steps, with 5 mm connection points for added play options. Her design draws inspiration from the IDW character Riptide.
  • Wheeljack (City) changes from robot to race car in two steps, keeping with the simple conversion style of the assortment.
  • Starscream (City) turns into a Cybertronic fighter jet in four steps, featuring ball-jointed shoulders and hips for extra posing.

These are the latest additions to Cyberworld, a line built around a consistent 4-inch scale and cross-compatibility across all price points. Work on photographing the first three waves has been ongoing since late July, and many more galleries are still to come. As with all Transformers toys, we present these figures as they are and invite fans to share their thoughts about the line in our Energon Pub forums.

One that I'm looking forward to is Starscream. But that Bumblebee. Good lord, looks like the kid is in his barbarian phase!

Armored Cyber Changers

Seibertron.com continues our Transformers Cyberworld coverage with new galleries from the first two waves of Armored Cyber Changers. Following up on our Cyber Changers Wave 1 and Cyber Changers Wave 2, these figures expand the line with added play value by packaging each four-inch Cyber Changer with a large geared weapon system.

This assortment includes Bumblebee, Galvatron, Optimus Prime, and Chop Shop:

  • Bumblebee (City) transforms into a muscle car in two steps and comes with a blaster cannon that deploys two side-blades when activated. The blades can detach and be used individually.
  • Galvatron (Desert) converts into a Junkion-inspired dragon in four steps. His flame blaster features a spreading barrel effect and removable flame pieces, plus a detachable tail weapon.
  • Optimus Prime (Desert) becomes an armored off-road truck in two steps, with a large cannon that opens to reveal detachable wings. Blast effects can be attached to either the gun barrel or the wings.
  • Chop Shop (Desert) changes into a stag beetle in four steps. He comes with a pincer-based weapon system that can be reconfigured in multiple ways. His design draws from several classic insectoid Transformers, most notably Beast Wars Insecticon.

As with the standard Cyber Changers, articulation is limited to the shoulders, hips, and knees, but the added weapon gimmicks give these figures a different kind of play value. Work on Cyberworld galleries has been ongoing since late July, with more still to come across the line.

Cyberworld Expands with Grimlock, Scorponok, Mirage, and Megatron!

Seibertron.com continues our Transformers Cyberworld coverage with new galleries from the larger-scale and deluxe-style figures in the toyline. Following up on the earlier Cyber Changers Wave 1, Cyber Changers Wave 2, and Armored Cyber Changers, this latest gallery update introduces some of the biggest and most ambitious toys in the Cyberworld line so far.

The latest Cyberworld galleries include:

  • Ultimate Cyber Changer Megatron (Desert) - a retool of The Last Knight Knight Armor Turbo Changer Hound, redesigned in Generation 2 Megatron colors. He includes a removable blaster and a new "Ride & Battle" gunner platform for smaller Cyberworld figures.
  • Strike Battle Set Scorponok (Desert) - Standing 14 inches tall, he converts from robot to scorpion in four steps and features multiple connection ports, lights, and sounds. Smaller Cyberworld toys can ride in or interact with his various weapon and platform modes. His design draws inspiration from Transformers Energon Scorponok (who was Seibertron.com's 10th gallery way back in 2004).
  • Chomp and Battle Grimlock (Jungle) joins the Cyberworld toy line! Transforming into a robotic Tyrannosaurus Rex in four steps, Grimlock can be configured as a mech suit or turret platform for smaller figures, and his arms feature action weapon functions. His parts can even swap with Scorponok's arms for added play options.
  • Mirage (City) appears as a standard Cyber Changer in this lineup, converting into a jet in four steps. The mold was retooled from Starscream.

As of this update, Ultimate Megatron has not yet been released in the United States, but is available for pre-order at Walmart.com. Mirage has also yet to appear in stores, though it can be ordered online at Walmart.com. Scorponok is already seeing discounts, currently 50% off as part of Amazon's sales week: Amazon.com listing.

Special thanks to fellow Seibertronian -Kanrabat- for the hookup on Ultimate Megatron from Canada.

These additions close out our first phase of Transformers: Cyberworld coverage, which has been in development since late July. More to come as the line continues to roll out at retail and online!

Stupid question, is this it for the Cyberworld figures, will there be more in 2026?

Grimlock is only $15 at Walmart.com right now! https://www.walmart.com/ip/TRA-CYBERWOR?wmlspartner=FYAGeMjDX6c&=&affs=p&wid=5b6b4213e4b0bcb699adeb9f&u1=&oid=223073.10006940&sourceid=37141976172661509211&affillinktype=3&veh=aff ... 4605402749

Also, how weird is it that Hasbro Pulse was advertising their recent sale using art for Cyberworld's Optimus Prime despite not selling the figures?

G2-ish Megatron is really, really awesome. Even despite the lack of paint on the truck windows.
By the way, is that Megatron finally out in the USA?

Scorponok is cool, but not leader priced cool. I'll wait.

Yes, he just started showing up this week for $30 which feels like a lot. He's been found at Walmart, though I haven't seen the line in stores anywhere yet aside from Scorponok and Grimlock at Target.

Scorponok would've been "cooler" if his legs actually did something. Anything! Just being a brick doesn't help.

Thanks again for your help with getting Ultimate Megatron, -Kanrabat-! Crazy that it took this long to post it even though I finished the photos a few weeks ago. My main laptop died after 8.5 years (but, hey, 8.5 years of daily abuse is absurdly good) and a few other life curveballs got in the way. Shocked that I still beat it the punch of retail release in the U.S.

I think the headsculpt on Ultimate Megatron is one of the best. I like it better than Studio Series 86 Megatron's headsculpt. While it is a very different looking headsculpt from the actual G2 Megatron, both the original and the Hero Megatron had really good above average headsculpts. Siege Megatron also has a really good headsculpt (though it interprets the forehead "brim" as going up instead of forward or down, which makes me appreciate the artistic takes on Megatron's head design). It's a tough head to get right and only a few have managed to do it over the years. Cyberworld Ultimate Megatron is one of the few of them.

And embarrassingly, it's been brought to my attention that I could have transformed Grimlock's feet to give him a more natural t-rex pose. Ah well.

Do you have the big electronic Rescue Bots T-Rex Optimus? I ask because this Grimlock seems very similar to that toy (but a little more advanced), and thought there might be some comparison pics between the two.

Speaking of that Grimlock, I'll be waiting for a Beast Megatron repaint/remold of it.
They have to do it.

It's what we deserve for not making them in America. :HEADHURTS:

Where they would then cost $50. #-o
