Thanks to Seibertronian Mr. Black we have a new image of the upcoming Takara Masterpiece Sunstreaker! The image, courtesy of Close Countach on Twitter, shows Sunstreaker in his robot mode and alt mode, and shows some interesting alt mode features in person: the hood and doors are meant to open and function like a standard car. This binaltech-styled attention to detail is cool, but does it overcome the pricepoint and cartoony head? Check out the image below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

No thanks. Mixing chrome and grey doesn't make any sense at all and the pic of the mp-12+ is stupid. Basically the reg version but everything silver is white the wheels are grey and his gun is grey

The tires are gray, the black triangle on his outer shin is now red, the red piece above his foot is now black and I can't entirely tell but the silver part seem to now be mold in flat colours and the Autobot symbol from this angle looks slightly different. This could very well be MP-12+.

Silver parts are now white, shins are slgihtly recolored, gun is grey instead of silver, the Autobot symbol may be a bit different, and it comes with different accessories.

Indeed. Either Lambo relented or it's a separate spoiler from the reality-accurate yellow one.

I think he looks great! I just wish the head was better.

Love the pictures of Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Bluestreak and Bumblebee as a rock band though. That gave me a chuckle.

My biggest thing right there. That head is total rubbish. The badcube one is about the type of head that I'd like for him

If anyone is looking for a cheaper venue to buy from, anime Export 9who I have been using for years) has him for $75 USD plus shipping (which isnt expensive here isnce its just a car). This should easily save any american at least $20 if they pick SAL as a shipping option.
