That Elita is still a huge swing and a miss, IMO. She's too short in robot mode, the vehicle mode looks like a clown car, and her headsculpt is just off-putting. She should have been a tall deluxe like Siege Ironhide is, the vehicle mode could have been accommodated. And I didn't care much for the PoTP voyager, but at least it had a better looking head.

Yeah, to me, the POTP Voyager is still the best-looking of the the Elita-1 figures released so far. She may not be a car anymore, but at least she looks the part the most in robot mode (and was given in-fiction justification as a body upgrade).Rodimus Prime wrote:And I didn't care much for the PoTP voyager, but at least it had a better looking head.

Exactly. I think the jet mode kinda turned me off the figure, because it was a repaint and it made her too bulky as well, even if, as you said, the fiction justification was there. If she had had some kind of larger car mode, and perhaps hadn't been a combiner, she would be in my collection. But I understand why she was done that way.Sabrblade wrote:Yeah, to me, the POTP Voyager is still the best-looking of the the Elita-1 figures released so far. Personally, I think she wears the mold better than who it was made for. The Starscream version is very lousy.Rodimus Prime wrote:Exactly. Cartoon accurate or not, I find the little hat on top of Elita-1's vehicle mode hilarious.
Also, if I can ignore that this Knock-Out is supposed to be a Prime character, he's not so bad. I didn't expect a SS-86 Jazz retool though. I wonder if this one will have the same fragility issues?

After finally having played with Kingdom Legacy Blaster, I was completely impressed. It is truly deserving of the title "mini masterpiece". The bot is perfect with no hollow parts aside the wrists. The boom box mode have a CLEAN BACK. The transformation is about the same as the G1 original just with some extra steps. Plus the engineering is so simple, I can see why they were able to include a cassette guy in the box.
One of the best Transformers this year!

I like the new Elita-1, not entirely cartoon accurate but I'm not sure how they would pull that off. She does however get a decent balance of bulk and maintaining a femminine appearance, keeping closer to "superhero proportions" than PoTP while not being a shellformer like Netflix.
Not fond of or interested in the Prime Universe figures as I believe they should have kept to the original designs. Knockout dosnt change that view at all.
Really hyped for Wildrider as he is my fave Stunticon, Figure looks great.

I'm with you on all of that. She just wasn't Elita-1 enough for me. And that jet mold is not great. Very simplistic, with odd proportions for any bot mode, reminded me of those Gobot reboot toys for younger kids.
Also, the colours and size of the bot mode was off. A tall deluxe would be best, as you said, but a voyager would just not work with any of the WFC Optimus molds.

As a TF Prime lover, that Knockout is just a$$. Yes the original toy was also, but Geewunning that figure is a horrific insult to the animation model. If it were, say, a new character or even Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen it would be infinitely better. But as a TFP figure, it's just insulting.

Knockout is fine. Do like the car mode. Yes I do own the Prime release, and he's just o.k.
Wildrider on the other hand looks fantastic. Loving the car mode, the transformation looks involved but fun. Can't wait for the rest of them.
I wasn't sold on the Menasor idea at the beginning, but the more I see of these guys the less it bugs me that Mensor can just exist without them. They are just so well done.
Can't wait to see Breakdown and DeadEnd.

For people with not a huge knowledge of Knockout, I can see that toy being a great Decpticon rank filler.
Elita-1 looks honestly kinda neat, digging the proportions and weapons, even if they are transparent. But I still feel like she needs some extra paint on the robot and defiantly on the vehicle, which isn't a hard fix and something I have the set up to do.
Wild rider is .. ok? Feel like he's the one Stunticon I always forget the name of
More excited for the rest of the crew, for sure, but these new pictures of the transformation and extra angles of the robot mode have warmed me a lil

Personally I think Elita looks adorable! I'll probably get the Minerva version, but it is a very good looking figure regardless.
Knockout looks good, I'm not big into Prime but he is a nice looking figure.
Wildrider, eh, not sure on. He looks a bit clunky. Nice car mode though.

I never really let backpacks bother me unless they're bordering on shellformer levels (many Arcee toys, for example) or if they're just clumsily integrated. Honestly the backpack for Wildrider looked a bit clumsy at first to me, but I was letting it slide with how great everything else looked - and honestly these pics really helped out too! Shows the backpack isn't really getting in the way of everything.
I'm still personally on board with Knock-Out. I totally understand that people wanted their Prime figs to look like...y'know, their Prime selves...but I'm digging the "What If?" and I think he'd be a good rank filler too. A team always needs a medic, right?
I'm still waiting for the inevitable Flamewar retool of Legacy's Arcee figure though.
And I'd rather wait for the obvious Minerva retool for that Elita-1 figure. The PotP was much more my speed with having a nice (to me) jet mode and also being a big bot.

To be fair, Elita's cartoon model, being as it is without even Arcee's shoulder pods, is completely unworkable as a transforming toy (it doesn't even have an onscreen transformation!). Now personally I feel like a new Voyager scale Elita that turned into a streamlined Cybertronian truck would be cool, but this one doesn't look half bad.
