New Images of Takara The Last Knight Calibur Optimus Prime, Leader Megatron, Masterpiece Bumblebee

He looks a bit more... Gundam-y.

Much spikier yet defined in a way that looks much more Anime-esque than the extremely realistic approach of the movies.

But in less than an hour the pre-orders closed. They could open back up so keep an eye on that. It is listed as "limited", I'm not sure if that means they only got a small quantity or if that means it includes the shield (AmiAmi does sometimes get campaign items).

Great looking figure, but I can't squeeze in any more July pre-orders.

After the recent posts from Tokyo Toy Show, showing the Takara Tomy version of Transformers: The Last Knight (King) figures - reported here - we also have some official stock photography for the two exclusives Calibur Optimus Prime and Voyager Megatron!

Respectively from Amazon.co.jp and Toys'R'Us Japan, the images have been mirrored below, and also include a second Amazon listing for Calibur Optimus' Limited Edition (with an added sword) - check them out.

So what is the means of offering for the gold shield. ?

I don't own the 1st edition Prime - but I do wonder if they'd have been better served to include the other deco of the shield as a promo item with it's expended shield mode.

Or even make a brand new mould of it in it's folded up arm cover mode (where it's just a panel that sits on his arm with a circle on it and the gun barrels retracted and the force shield element not deployed.

It is a bit of an oversight to not offer the 3rd form of the shield.

Though doesn't it also have a "Ground mode" where he can take it off and shove it in the ground too ?

This is what it reminds me of.
