Yes. The head is the same as the Hasbro Dastard version, but the one he uses in this comic is instead the Titan Master version instead of Dastard. Though, Takara is treating Dastard not as himself but instead as the hedgehog Beastformer named, uh, Hedgehog. Likewise, Grotusque's little headmaster Fengul is treated by Takara as the Beastformer named Platinum Tiger.carytheone wrote:That comic makes me yern for a Battle Beast reboot!
I forget, does the Tak Repug come with the same Head Master as the Hasbro Repugnus. Basically, just Dastard? The comic makes it seem like a different character. Of course considering I can't read it and I kept going from left to right means I was a little lost.
Well to the Google mobile to search it out.
Ah, cool, thanks.the little purple robot riding in his chest was throwing me.Sabrblade wrote:Yes. Oh, no, that purple dude is Toraizer, a non-toy redeco of Lione/Sawback. Hedgehog is the guy wearing Spike's Exosuit on Page 2, riding the Titan Master Vehicle of Repugnus with little Headmaster Repugnus himself.carytheone wrote:Ah, cool, thanks.the little purple robot riding in his chest was throwing me.Sabrblade wrote:Yes. Wasn't he planned for Titans Return but scrapped?

You sure it's not related to his previously being trapped inside the Holography Mirror?JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Another cameo I just realized, not of a character, but of a concept: Platina Tiger's "glass shattering" thing is his new dimension warping ability, taken from the Blendtrons in the Beast Wars Neo anime.

YES, Fire/Wood/Water rubsigns all day! I'm ok if they are not part of the TF universe, but if so all the sweeter. I never knew they were related until recently. From what I've seen of the last line, it didn't look up my alley.Seibertron wrote:But only if they do the wood/fire/water rubsigns and they're part of the Transformers line and are modern updates to the originals! At this point, I'm still just waiting for the Wiki to get a summary up so we can finally learn exactly what's going on in this.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sabrblade wrote:You sure it's not related to his previously being trapped inside the Holography Mirror?JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Another cameo I just realized, not of a character, but of a concept: Platina Tiger's "glass shattering" thing is his new dimension warping ability, taken from the Blendtrons in the Beast Wars Neo anime.
Could be too. Fiction is your niche after all.

On the planet Beast in the year 2023, the war rages on between the Beastformers and Laser Beasts, the two armies now on equal footing after the Beastformers acquired Doublecross and followed White Leo's example in adopting mechanical bodies. Tigerburn remains confident, however, as his forces have recovered two of the Three Wise Ones' gemstones and are in control of the headless bodies of Repugnus and Grotusque. Suddenly a portal opens up above the battlefield and disgorges Repugnus himself and Hedgehog, immediately followed by the other Headmasters who escaped the destruction of the Legends World, and Autobots and Decepticons alike choose to assist their old Beastformer allies against the Laser Beasts.
The panicking Tigerburn has the Headmasters Scopecougar and Skullgrotes combine with the two Monsterbot bodies, though his efforts are in vain as they're faced with the arrival of Jetfire, Bumblebee, Seaspray, Alana, Spike, and Marissa, the latter finally being reunited with Sue in the process. Having used the Water Gem of Motion to restore Tlalak and its Well of Transformation, Seaspray sprays its water on Scopecougar and Skullgrotes, separating them from Toraizer and Shuffler as well as the Monsterbot bodies. Repugnus is quick to reclaim his, though White Leo reveals that Grotusque cannot be restored right now as his head is in another dimension with Platinum Tiger.
The reason for this is that Platinum Tiger has sequestered himself after becoming evil, having fallen victim to the curse of the Head Tiger when he used it to save Grotusque's head from the Laser Beasts. While Grotusque attempted to mitigate the curse by using the gemstones to merge with Platinum Tiger, it was not enough and the Beastformer chose to seal himself away so as to never harm anyone. Grotusque says he's happier this way, having never liked his ugly body to begin with, but Platinum Tiger can sense that the time has come for the Monsterbot to return and suddenly breaks out of his self-styled prison, combines with Grotusque's body and downloads the Monsterbot's consciousness into it. While Grotusque protests, Platinum Tiger insists that it's too dangerous for them share the same body and urges Grotusque to face his problems as himself.
Enraged by his loss of the Monsterbots, Tigerburn steals the Water Gem of Motion from Seaspray and uses the three gems in his possession to call upon the power of the legendary Red Phoenix, Wood Beetle, and Shocking Shark...
Enraged by his loss of the Monsterbots, Tigerburn steals the Water Gem of Motion from Seaspray and uses the three gems in his possession to take control of the Beastformers' legendary Red Phoenix, Wood Beetle, and Shocking Shark and pit them against the Transformers. Doublecross/White Leo and Grotusque/Platinum Tiger spring into action and use the combined power of machine and beast to battle the mobile bases, and when Repugnus envies their newfound strength, Hedgehog offers to form his head using Spike's Headmaster exosuit. In response, the Shocking Shark bites into Hedgehog and damages his head mode, though Repugnus, whose consciousness has moved into his body, automatically repairs the Beastformer into a form resembling his own head. With the addition of the smaller Repugnus armor's gun mode and White Lune's Targetmaster form, the three Monsterbots defeat the mobile bases, allowing White Leo to tackle Tigerburn and call upon the three gems himself. He explains to the Laser Beast Emperor that to melt his cold heart and prove that the residents of Beasts can live together, he will merge with Tigerburn himself into an example of unity—and in a flash of light the two are crystallized, becoming a monument of their final struggle.
Fifteen years later in 2038, the Monsterbots finish explaining what happened to the newly arrived Legends Rattrap, adding that Platinum Tiger has since locked himself within the Holography Mirror and that Rattrap's group has arrived during the G2 Era when the Decepticons are led by their new hero, Galvatron II. Elsewhere, Galvatron II punishes Hooligan for referring to him as "II" before announcing that he will rob Beast of all its energy.
