Even if they are not part of the main cast, it would be cool to see references to other BEast Wars characters.

I'm hoping for an Easter egg or two. I'm not expecting full cameos mind.

Personally I'm hoping for some kind of stinger that references Beast Wars Megatron.

APELINK? The exclusive from the only BotCon I actually made it to?
Well slag, now they're getting my hopes up that Shokaract and his heralds will figure in somehow!

I absolutely hate Airazor's voice from that one trailer. Anyone else? Why is it so bad?

Considering the movie makers near complete disregard for most Transformers alt modes, the other gorilla is actually Rattrap.

Given that the alt modes of the Maximals in this movie reflect those of their namesakes in Beast Wars this comment seems silly.
Just sayin'

By this rate, we'll see all the key scenes of the Rise of the Beasts film before the movie comes out as Paramount is holding nothing back in the marketing (and I don't blame them, competition at the cineplex will be fierce). In this latest TV spot, we have a shot of Optimus Primal talking while Optimus Prime an Stratosphere are in the background in their robot modes. Now we knew Stratosphere had a voice actor and we had seen his bot mode in promotional material, but we didn't know if we'd actually see him as a character in bot mode in the film. And now we know that we will. This is a big contrast to similar elements we saw in The Last Knight where the submarine that transported Cade was said to be a Transformer but never transformed.
There is other new footage in the clip, including a scene with Noah's little brother and Mirage (looks like Pete Davidson is getting a lot of lines). You can see the tv spot below.

Considering it was intended as a joke, and most jokes are by definition silly, you almost got it there, Sheldon Cooper.

Anyway, having thought about it some, I'm relegating the Bayverse to the level of the Fast and Furious franchise. I enjoyed the 1st set of movies, even got them on DVD, had fun with the middle few, and will most likely disregard the rest, as the dive in quality storytelling is insurmountable by even the best action scenes. The Transformers/cars do look pretty good though.

I agree. All of the Beast Wars characters seen pretty inspired of their season 1 designs, with Cheetor being the one that went into a more original rendition.

I'm going to guess that if that IS Apelinq, or some other character (the other ape I can think of is Primal Prime), it'll be of a similar vain to Cliffjumper in the Bumblebee movie, to introduce the audience to the protagonist. He or she will likely confront or be confronted by Scourge. Scourge may make some vague or direct reference to his plans or his master's plans, they fight, and Scourge will kill or incapacitate "Apelinq" to show us what kind of threat he poses to the Autobots. But that's just a theory.

Oh Howard ... did you not know that it's hard to tell the tone of a post through written word? Perhaps using an emoji like this
next time to help convey your message?
Plus, a lot of your opinions are of the negative nature so what else was I supposed to interpret it as?

I am getting really hyped for this movie, more so now than ever.
i really think Primal is going to be the star of the movie right now, him and Mirage. They are shaping up to be super cool.
Oh! So Snapchat added a filter to turn your pets into Optimus Prime last weekend. My 2 dogs loved it

If the marketing campaign is telling us something about this film, it's that you are going to see lots of Bot action and more Transformations than before. What is very peculiar about one of these new spots is that there is an action highlight for Optimus Prime transforming into his truck mode. We haven't seen that before in other films for Optimus, where the highlight is always about him going from truck to bot. There is also our best shot yet of Nightbird, a great action shot of Bumblebee and another transformation shot for Optimus Primal. Paramount also posted a random video of this Transformers film through a Wes Anderson filter. You can see all three videos below.

Seems like there is more fanservice and little easter eggs in this movie than in past TF movies, judging by what we've seen so far.

Hey! Having Optimus blast off in truck mode with a rocket on the back was MY idea! I did that when I was 10, they stole it from me!
Seriously though, this all looks pretty fun. Hopefully this one is more Bumblebee and less TLK.
