Regular source of both product and product news Entertainment Earth has updated some pages concerning Transformers: Rescue Bots products, as we find more images of Flipracers and Megabots waves! Specifically, Wave 2 of Flipracers featuring Optimus Prime, Sideswipe, Blurr and Chase; Wave 2 of Flipracers Multipack, one for Construction Team one for Stunt Team; Wave 3 of the Megabots, featuring Night Rescue Heatwave, Copter Crane Blades, and Quick Dig Boulder. Sorry, but "improved" isn't the word you're looking for. Think RotF Gravity Bots that don't work properly and do less.

Fellow Seibertronian and Twincast Podcast host Scotty P found the second wave of Rescue Bot Flip Racers today at Toysrus in North Carolina.

Via online store Entertainment Earth, we have a new image of the persisting Transformers toyline for Rescue Bots, part of the Playskool Heroes monicker and the Megabots subline for the characters themselves. The character of Boulder has a new iteration in the third wave of the line, with Quick Dig Boulder joining Copter Crane Blades and Night Rescue Heatwave. Check out the image and product description below for the wave hitting retailers this December!

As most Transformers fans know, Rescue Bots is Hasbro's line of Transformer toys and media meant for the preschool/kindergarten crowd- in the case of the toys, it meant simple (and in most cases, automorph) style transformations. While the cartoon ended last year, the toyline is still going on, as evidenced by the latest sightings, from Seibertron's very own ScottyP and ScottimusPrime; the latter of whom who has sent us the photographic evidence below. ScottimusPrime sent us his sighting from a Walmart in East Setauket, New York, and ScottyP sent us his sighting from a ToysЯUs in Cary, North Carolina. This would suggest that most regular big-box retailers will be carrying this particular wave. If you're a Rescue Bots fan, but don't plan on hunting for these, at least one of our sponsors, Big Bad Toy Store, has them up for preorder.

Interestingly, I didn't notice this until after it was posted, but that Optimus figure in this wave looks very Hot Spot-ish, deco-wise.

My son grew up on the Rescue Bots. I hope when he gets older, there will be Generations versions of Heatwave, Blades (Protectobot Blades probably doesn't count), Chase, and Boulder.

This one comes as a bit of a surprise! Boss-bot Seibertron himself has found (in Rolling Meadows, IL) a single-packed toy of Chase the Police-Bot, hailing from Rescue Bots Rescan line, that hasn't been seen before - at least, not on his own. This figure has seen retail release before, but only as part of the larger Capture Claw Chase set. The fact that he is now making an appearance on his lonesome - with very little fanfare, to boot - is quite the point of interest. Figures that were previously part of a larger toy don't often see later release without their sizable accompaniments, so this is quite the rare phenomenon on that count!

Hook and Ladder Heatwave is also a similar situation in that the Hook and Ladder Heatwave was released without his trailer but not individually. It's the same Heatwave from the Griffin Rock Rescue Team Set four-pack that also included the essentially re-releases of Rescan Blades, Boulder, and Chase.

First time poster. Enjoyed skimming through the thread. My little guy (3 years old) is obsessed with rescue bots.

Question: Anyone know when the new Salvage and Hightide will be available? And will they be the big Energize size?

My guy has the smaller Griffin Rock Rescue Team size (rescan size).

Talked to Hasbro via chat, they cancelled both of them.

"It looks as though the Playskool Heroes Transformers Rescue Bots Salvage, item #B7459 was cancelled and is not shipping. I do not have any indication that it will start shipping either, I'm very sorry.

They are part of the same assortment and the assortment was cancelled.

This is why we do not provide dates to consumers because the product can be dropped completely. It is a marketing decision."

A new Seibertronian, Card, did some investigative journalism for us in hope that he would get answers regarding when the new Rescue Bot transforming Salvage and Hightide would be available. His son is quite a fan of the toyline and as any good father would, he got to the bottom of it and shared us what he learnt.

He spoke to Hasbro via chat which confirmed their cancellation. Here is the quote from him and Hasbro:

For those curious as to what exactly these toys are, we have images below. Both Salvage and High Tide are based on previous toys but changed to either be up-scaled or unhindered by a previous gimmick. They were going to be another Amazon exclusive "wave" at one point, which we never got. These toys never being released gave us the presumption that they were cancelled for the US market but now we know it as a fact. However, this does not mean that these toys were never found elsewhere globally since we were able to find some listings from Asia for the High Tide figure. Such a bummer. Salvage looks like he would have been fun to transform. But then again I don't know the technical end of it. Might have been costly or somehow flawed.

and the deluxe wave 4 and 5 of TR i have not seen perceptor the jumpstarters or misfire and slugslinger
anywhere in stores just the wave revisions that dont have those 5 and online is out of stock most evry site and ebay sellers want 2-3 times more :BANG_HEAD:
