Yes, Botcon 98 was in Anaheim, Ca, I was there!
They have not been to the south yet...Bring it down to Atlanta please.

Lexington Kentucky isn't the south?

I can't go to this one either now.
Now, let's see what spirit-crushing exclusives they've got in store for a very small percentage of the fandom.

Seattle's your best chance. I doubt they'd ever do a foreign hosted BotCon. (I know there was a BotCon Europe, but I believe it was handled by different people, seeing as it had it's own exclusives and ran at a completely different time frame than the US version.)
The US hosted BotCon has always been within our borders (lower 48 to be exact) and I'm pretty sure they'll keep it that way too.
Heck, I doubt there will ever be one in Alaska or Hawaii (too far away from the mainland, and too expensive.)
But, this is all a moot point in speculating until they give us the final date and location.

This wouldn't be a bad idea. Cleveland and Columbus are large enough to accommodate such a convention, plus it's local to a lot of the posters here (many complain it's never close enough, and they're right.) Frisco Texas was one of the locations, wasn't it? I mean...come on!

Just guessing though.
East--Rhode Island
South-- Kentucky
Mid-Central-- Texas
West Coast-- California
Mid west-- Chicago
They've hit many major population centers. I'm thinking Phoenix, Indy, Detroit, or Orlando.
I would imagine they would save their next West Coast swing for the release of TF THE MOVIE 2, Hollywood...

I could die a happy fangirl if they had a Botcon in my "backyard"...

Still, Spring of 08? They've been pushing this thing forward considerably lately.

So they'll feature Seaspray and other boat-bot toys?

This past year it was in RI, I bet alot of people in Oregon missed out.
Every area would have it's own vendors, but how much would it hurt to ship around the features. I know there are other conventions, but this is the good one as far as setups, exclusives, and all that.

I went from watching the Advanced Screaning of the Transformers, (that I won off The Edge) to driving to buffalo so I could fly to Boston and then drove to Rhode Island. If I can do it, you can too!
Hey Fender, I hope to hell I can get things straight with Paypal before the next Botcon

Since I'm in Buffalo, that would be perfect. We drove to RI for this year's convention, and we really enjoyed it. I definitely would like an oppurtunity to go again.
BTW, isn't there a TF convention in Toronto every year?

oh and yea there is a convention in Toronto every year, Transformerscon, but its not nearly as big or even close to being as good and official like Botcon. If it were in NY or Michigan, I would definitely make the trip down there...heres hoping that its after my exams too

It will be interesting to see the implications of this move on the organization of Transformerscon, which is typically held the last week of April around southern Ontario (Toronto, Hamilton). Will TCon be pushed back in recognition of the competition?

Yes there is. TransformersCon. It took place only a few months ago and this coming weekend is the Canadian Toy Expo which is run by the same good folks to run TransformersCon. [shameless plug]I'll have a booth there this weekend [/shameless plug]

No way, it was worth every penny. I had a great time and got to finally put a face to the many people I've met here on Seibertron.com

Niagara Falls would be great, we need the tourism... >.>
That, and they just finished this really spiffy new convention center right across from the Seneca Niagara Casino. Which isn't too far away from the border, so there'd be no shortage of things to do.
And on another note, I never knew there were so many Western New Yorkers that frequented these boards. Hoo-rah.
