We just got the reveal of a bunch of first Images for upcoming figures in the TAV and TED Takara lines and we now have new clearer images of these from Takara Tomy Mall. It's about time too, since all of these figures are coming out in a month.

That Drift looks INSANE! Automatic buy along with Phantom Joe (Aha! I knew there would be purple involved!) as soon as the preorder goes live on Amiami. Getting these along with Superion will be AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Seeing that RID Police Car Steel Jaw, I immediately thought it would make a really neat IDW The Transformers themed Prowl. Put a Prowl head on it while replacing the red "claw" with a red/blue light bar all the while recoloring the purple & blue parts.

I know, right? I don't know why HasTak can't pick up on the repaint potential, either here or in Movieverse Drift. Same with a Bludgeon repaint.

Drift has his moustache and goatee. Glad I've waited for the Takara version. Phantom Jaw looks awesome, but he should have been called "WolfCop!" I love how the claw doubles as a stylized police light bar. Cosmos looks great. I love the darker green stripe around the rim of the UFO, evoking better his G1 coloring, the reworked individual eyes as opposed to shades, and the rearranged chest detailing. Plus, no sticker (that we can see so far). It seems that the only difference with Powerglide is that Takara colored in the dot on his forehead (that and the garish sticker), unless I'm missing something. I'm hoping there's a surprise Autobot tampograph under Powerglide's sticker (that goes for the upcoming Shrapnel and Bombshell too). Otherwise, I've got some Autobot and Decepticon decals I can use to replace the scan code stickers. I'm happy with these reveals.

Has the TAV-02 Grimlock had the same elbow exploding issue that the U.S version has? I'm kinda tempted to pick up the three Dinobots from the line, but am weary about Grimmy since Hasbro's version has that one serious issue.

I'm really digging it. Love the Prowl-esque deco in vehicle mode. Love the purple and blue coloring for wolfbot mode. It's evocative of Transformers Prime/Aligned Barricade and G1 Barricade. Win for me. It's a shame they couldn't have made this into a new Aligned Prowl. It would have been a great update for him, making his new more lupine form fit his name and retaining his G1 police car roots. Oh well. Another Decepticon it is!

Now, Hasbro, take note. Please make a WolfCop redeco of Warrior Steeljaw. Black altmode, rotated light bar, and a nice big red "W" scratched onto the hood. Werewolf enthusiasts and Canadians alike will love you for it! DO IT!

No mold changes between Hasbro and TakaraTomy Grimlock unfortunately. So expect reports of Japanese Grimlocks being busted some time soon.

Takara Tomy designer Shogo Hasui has shared on Twitter an image showing the true meaning of army building with your Transformers figures, as the next Transformers Adventure toys are lined up prior to retail release: TAV17 Shrapnel and TAV18 Bombshell!

Both are the Takara decos for the previously released Hasbro figures, Skrapnel under the Generations line, and Bombshell in the current Combiner Wars - check out the image below, and compare them to their Hasbro cousins in their Seibertron.com galleries here and here.

think fully half the TAV releases are non-show/non-RiD based designs - you've got a whole heap of Animated and Beast Hunters moulds in there too, plus another Prime Vehicon, though this time it's the original Hasbro mould, not the Arms Micron version.

I realize no one answered about the size, these are legends size, which would be similar to the old scout class, maybe a bit smaller.

While we just posted some new images of the upcoming TAV17 Shrapnel and TAV18 Bombshell, Hisashi Yuki has posted more pictures of these on his twitter. This time, we get a look at these toys in their package, along with in package images of TED-07 Bumblebee and TAV 15 Lockdown who is boasting some sweet new box art. Check out the pics below!

I prefer the original Gen. Skrapnel, that one has Reflector and is probably cheaper and easier to find. Not here though. Though I wish we'd see a Kickback.

Bombshell is more accurate to the G1 cartoon with the grey head, just noticed that, but I already have the CW one.
