Wheeljack and Windcharger comprise the two dead horsemen of the apocalypse for Studio '86. When that's the part of the barrel being scraped, it's time to wrap it up.EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX 86 WHEELJACK

I am excited for the live action bots coming, along with the One bots.
Wheeljack and Windcharger make me think we will get a 3rd target corpse pack next year, which I would get.
I wonder who the titan would be. I REALLY want it to be the DotM Driller, but realistically, it will probably be something like the Autobot shuttle or Unicron cruiser given a robot mode.

Elita looks great.
I'd totally go for that Dramatic Capture set if I did not already own Thundercracker.
Devastator still does nothing for me.
Not interested in a Dead Wheeljack really.
But ion anyone knows where to getting replacement windshield sections for Siege Jackie I'm here.

JT thinks the Titan is most likely ROTB Stratosphere, but we don't know for sure yet. I'd love a Driller too!

-Cyclonus (this is still one of the best molds ever)
-Anniversary Megs (assuming it's a reformatting version)
A couple 'maybe's':
-Comics Soundwave (appearance will be the factor, because I'm guessing this is going to be the last use of the Netflix mold, and for me that will be annoying)
-The SS Titan (obviously depending on who it is and how it looks. But based on the cost alone, this is going to have to be impressive)
A "Slp mode" Optimus... Meaning "sleep" aka a grayed-out dead version? Seems like such a waste of a release of that mold... I get it, it'll be the 40th anniversary. But if this is the deco, what's the point?? Even if it's done well and looks good, who's going to spend $60 for that? What I have listed above looks like next to nothing, but I just added to my 'want' and 'maybe' lists. Including what we already knew of and the new listings for AotP, for me, I'll be spending quite a bit next year; a dead Prime doesn't even come close to making my 'maybe' list.
It's also unfortunate for people who thought this release would be the regular figure just without the trailer.

The thing that leads me to doubt it's Marvel Fort Max is that Hasbro is ending the Core class range, so there would be no new small toys on the shelves to interact with Fort Max's battle station altmode as a playset. And with Fort being a Leader, the battle station would already be pretty small, making Core class the only range that could possibly interact with it, so with the end of Core class, there's not much playability in an undersized battle station with no small figures to play with it. In that sense, the IDW1 tank makes more sense for playability value since it wouldn't require the kind of playset interactivity that a battle station would.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:As much as I like and desperately hope the Fort Max will be the IDW version, it will more than likely end up being a Marvel Fort Max, which no complaints there for me so long as Scorponok gets the same treatment

I'm also going to be very interested to see SS86 Skywarp and Thundercracker...
If Skywarp has a gray face instead of metallic silver, that alone may be enough for me to get it. Assuming the rest of the deco is on point as well. I'm all in for the new Dramatic Capture set and most likely will be keeping that Thundercracker as long as the main blue color is good.
Fort Max should be cool, but I have more than enough to buy so that's a pass for me.

Which brings me to my next point. We are getting "SS Titan" which is great, but there's nothing from the live-action films that really would qualify as a Titan. I mean I don't think they would release RotB Unicron as such, but who knows. If we expand to games, I know fans have been wanting a WFC type Trypticon or Omega Supreme, but considering they just re-released Siege Omega for like the 3rd time, and TR (updated for AoP) Trypticon, I doubt it. T30 Metroplex was basically already FoC inspired, and fans would want a more OG accurate Metroplex if they were going that route.
I guess I could always fall back on my insane wish for Majin Zarak. After all he did appear in an animated film released theatrically in Japan, also it would be the first of a kind "Beast-Era" Titan to boot. But alas, it will probably be something more non-sensical that really isn't "studio series".

It will have been 5+ years since the Haslab. It'll be an anniversary year for the 86 movie. Lastly, they did something similar with Marvel Legends. Sentinel was a Haslab, but they have gone about doing a smaller, more screen accurate Sentinel that is made to order. I think it's crazy to think that just because there was a Haslab, the character will never get another market release.

But remember, beginning wih Star Optimus Prime, Titans are going to be smaller and (theoretically) less expensive, now. So whatever it is (JTPrime speculates it might be ROTB Stratosphere) it may be large but not as gigantic as previous Titans.o.supreme wrote:Which brings me to my next point. I actually mentioned WFC Omega & Trypticon in my first post after the list had been published:

Just my 2 cents, but game versions of those characters would be pretty awesome, even if not likely.

I agree with your reasoning, however, Unicron done decently, letalone well, includes a ton of transformation engineering... Not to mention it really should come with a stand for the planet mode. Just not sure even a Titan class budget would be enough to make this possible.
Although here's a crazy idea (some people will scoff at):
Make the robot mode fold-up into a relatively cube-ish mass. The head could maybe stick-out so the horns could be used for the planet mode. Either that or detachable horns. The planet would be made from the sphere being divided into 4 semi-spherical panels which when combined surround the folded-up bot; each one would have at least a few pegs that plug into various parts of the bot mode. Then of course the wings from bot mode would peg/port together as well as plug into 4? ports on the planet panels.
So major parts-forming, and Unicron would be smaller than the average Titan figure. But without some configuration like this, I don't know how this is possible without making the alt mode some random spaceship. And with something like a random alt mode, the bot is still going to be compromised and then somewhere the appearance suffers.
I'm one of the many people who never got the Haslab figure... I'd love to have a good Unicron, and imo, the planet mode is really important to this character.
Posted by Sabrblade on June 5th, 2025 @ 12:13pm CDT
And we know Titans are going to be made smaller and less expensive than before, so a smaller Unicron about the size of his original Armada toy (which is about the height that Star Optimus Prime is) isn't going to be as impressive as a 2-foot-tall one like the old Titan size.

I take it you are familiar with the Marvel Transformers comics from the 1980s, yes? Fortress Maximus was a character in those, but unlike his cartoon depictions, he wasn't a giant city-sized dude. He was just a big dude more sized to around the height of Powermaster Optimus Prime's super robot mode.

I have to disagree about Straosphere. Respectfully of course.
While this character's size definitely aligns with this larger class scale, even at a lowered price of $150, this character just isn't well-known or popular enough. That's not shade, and I'm not suggesting it couldn't or shouldn't be a character from one of the live-action movies. Since Titans aren't going to be repainted or retooled into other characters, they have to bring-in profit with the initial release. Seems to me that the Titans that were re-leased have in-fact been backed by demand.
But who knows... It will be very interesting to see what happens.

I might actually consider that Leader Fort Max, image posted looked pretty cool. After all with only two known actual buys for next year I should have the extra funds to purchase an outlier or two. Of course that depends on what other unknowns exist that aren't rumored. And unless there's a new Octane, Astrotrain or Powerglide it doesn't look like I'll be getting much more than a handful of about 2-4 figures.

I was just referring to how it is so huge as it is almost unmanageable, transformation is actual torture, and realistically he can't really do much; in my opinion. I don't regret passing.

I haven't had any interest in the studio primus or unicron, I've heard those complaints myself, no interest.
live action bots being complex is one thing, I expect and enjoy that part of them. More cartoon-esque figures, it doesn't hit the same.
Either way, someday, I would not mind another chance at Unicron. Like one of you said earlier in the thread, the MTO $200 Sentinel packs compared to the $350 Haslab would be a nice comparison.

The Megatron doesn’t have purple markings, it’s a reissue of ROTF Battle Damaged Megatron. Only change appears to be that it’s missing the gunmetal smears on the head sculpt.
EDIT: Oh, I see what it was! The purple on Mark's shirt in that pic does make it look like he has some purple deco. Renders of the set do show it's just a slightly altered battle damaged Megs though
