The site itself doesn't confirm the image used - which is just stock image of the original toy, and which you can also see in our galleries right here - but we do get a shipping date of 1st June 2018, and a price of $35.90 USD. Check out the listing here, and let us know what you think of this surprising reissue in the Energon Pub discussion boards!

2 to 3 years ago, actually. That's when the Platinum Series was all G1 reissues

Well, since Walmart is pretty much the only place around here I can find Transformers other than Walgreens and Target... (shrug).

Cogman was a regular retail figure that just never showed up here in the States. All Hot Rod figures from TLK were Walmart exclusives last year.

What if it turns out that the placeholder image of the G1 toy is just a misled assumption and the toy turns out to instead be a G1-based redeco of TLK Hot Rod?

Would be a pretty high price if it was

I would bite on this one too, especially since I never saw the other one at any of the 10÷ locations around where I live.
The G1 reissue version- definitely bought too

I guess it was just sightings I noticed but I thought robot kingdom also listed it as Walmart. My bad
But I know any figure from age of extinction was Walmart only for some reason. Even down to stinger DLC for the games.
Walmart gets a lot exclusives. Maybe not transformers so much but a lot of Marvel Legends and Star Wars 3.75 black series are exclusive ever since Force Awakens have been

100% would buy! I’d love it if they actually used the die cast feet the original run of the toy had, but a must buy either way for me.

Why? By hm being online, everyone hs a chance of getting him without resorting to the continuous woes of distribution.

Completely unexpected. The real question is will it have the diecast toes, or plastic toes?
I wonder if it will be a platinum release or what banner it will be under.

I meant like....walmart exclusives that actually made it to the shelves of a walmart?
Anybody (in the US) seen this thing hanging on some pegs ? I havent. Ditto for Cogman. Ill meet you at the halfway...I did see the larger dumbed down version of TLK hot rod a few times. I probably could have gotten either of them online if I had been focused on having them. But for me those two are more impulse buys, not must haves.
Either way, as long as transformers are profitable, exclusives will keep coming. The question is now who will get the contract to sell them? Looks like walmart is stepping up to the plate. And using a G1 mold is a sign that they might swing in the adult collectors direction. You know no 5 year old kid wants a retro hot rod brick. So I forsee the MP line and maybe things like TR arcee/grotesque hitting walmart down the line. So yeah, its all good in the hood.
