So did Starscream get his T-cog back? Or did he just swipe it from another Transformer? He shouldn't be able to use his weapons unless he has a T-cog, so perhaps he gets another early in this episode?

He was able to fire on Arachnid in "Crossfire" too, so it looks like it works differently for 'Cons (or for Screamer, at least). Maybe because his weapons are always active?

It wasn't the real Starscream.Mindmaster wrote:So did Starscream get his T-cog back? Or did he just swipe it from another Transformer? He shouldn't be able to use his weapons unless he has a T-cog, so perhaps he gets another early in this episode?
That's different. He fired at Airachnid with his arm missles, which are always attached to the outside of his arm. He could not, however, "Arms Up" his inner arm blasters.Skyfire77 wrote:He was able to fire on Arachnid in "Crossfire" too, so it looks like it works differently for 'Cons (or for Screamer, at least). So what did everyone think of this episode? I thought it was a great episode, but I was a little bothered by what Bulkhead did. I know it's war and all, but I think that was new territory for an Autobot. Here's hoping the clones become Skywarp, Thundercracker and any other seekers they want to throw at us.. This version of Starscream is pretty much the most awesome, devious, traitorous, and evil version of Starscream that there ever was.

I thought all the clones were dead by the end of the episode.

True, but it is a sci-fi toy based cartoon. Just sounds like future plot devices to me, especially with Megatron having possession of a few of their bodies.

Wait, why are we talking in spoiler tags if the episode's already aired?

How so?Seibertron wrote:I thought it was a great episode, but I was a little bothered by what Bulkhead did. I know it's war and all, but I think that was new territory for an Autobot.
But those guys already exist in this continuity as separate characters. And the clones were all killed.Seibertron wrote:Here's hoping the clones become Skywarp, Thundercracker and any other seekers they want to throw at us..
He is a deliciously wonderful character. And Steve Blum's acting provides the icing on the cake.Seibertron wrote:This version of Starscream is pretty much the most awesome, devious, traitorous, and evil version of Starscream that there ever was.

They were, yes.Va'al wrote:I thought all the clones were dead by the end of the episode.

Hm. I'm not convinced.
It is a shame that the cloning plot would only be used this once, and never picked up on again, but as Sabrblade pointed out in the other thread, the Seekers already exist in this continuity.
EDIT: The spoilers are because people like me (non HUB viewers) may not have yet had a chance to see it. At least that's why I'm using them!

He angrily and brutally beat one of the Starscream clones to death and then dragged his limp body out of the hallway off screen ala Pulp Fiction style. Perhaps rightfully so, but it's one of those things you just don't see Autobots do. Sure they shoot Decepticons, but it's never done in the style that it was done in this episode.
Spider-Man and his Uncle Ben Parker would be disappointed.
That's assuming that continuity is followed strictly or that some other continuity plot hole isn't exploited in order for Hasbro to have easy repaint opportunities. Transformers has a very poor track record of adhering to a very strict continuity.
And to someone like me, Hasbro can say all they want about WFC and FOC being the beginning of the Prime continuity before Earth, but as far as I'm concerned as a fan that's G1 and not Prime. I'm sure there are many other fans that find that easier to accept than to accept that WFC/FOC are the same continuity as TFP.

Like you, I myself also prefer the Autobots to stay righteous and differentiated from their enemies' actions by not crossing the line between good and evil. But, sadly the Bay films have now changed all that.
I can't quite recall from memory where exactly they said this, but I'm sure it was either at a Con panel or in an online Q&A. If I can find it eventually (maybe tomorrow, since I'm working late this evening), I'll let you know.
Plus, FOC will have more elements from Prime put into it to help further connect the two. Like, the Nemesis itself will look exactly like the one seen in this show, rather than the one from G1.

Yeah, I too didn't like that. But, ever since the live action movies, Autobots unfortunately now have permission to be pushed over the edge to become ruthless and murderous nowadays.Seibertron wrote:He angrily and brutally beat one of the Starscream clones to death and then dragged his limp body out of the hallway off screen ala Pulp Fiction style. Well, the show's creators did say that they want to focus more on Starscream as a unique individual without having to bring in others like him (i.e. - Skywarp and Thundercracker).Seibertron wrote:That's assuming that continuity is followed strictly or that some other continuity plot hole isn't exploited in order for Hasbro to be able to have easy repaint opportunities. By any chance, have you read the novels yet? They provide some very strong support to the notion that the two are connected, as they're the fictional medium that is the most derived from the Binder.Seibertron wrote:And to someone like me, Hasbro can say all they want about WFC and FOC being the beginning of the Prime continuity before Earth, but as far as I'm concerned as a fan that's G1 and not Prime. Just because it's there doesn't mean they can watch it!
My Uni wireless does not allow for YouTube to load, due to bandwidth issues, for example.

Well, he was a Wrecker who have already been established as being like Decepticons in the Tactics they use, plus in the first episode he ripps out the guts of a Vehicon so it's not the first time we've seen him do this kind of stuff.
I liked this episode, plus I finally found an uploaded on youtube who puts up the stuff in HD, actual HD not pixelated low quality crap with a HD logo on it unlike some. Man I had forgotten how pretty this show is. I hope we'll get it on BlueRay over here.

Great episode, but i wonder why starscream is able to feel the same pain as the clones.
At least Animated Starscream didn't have this problem with his clones.
