For those of you unfamiliar with the just-revealed G2 Sandstorm, he was a prototype from the 1990s Generation 2 toy line, which used the G2 Ramjet mold, that never made it to production. Some people in the know were speculating that Selects Sandstorm was going to be a new version of G1 Sandstorm, but Hasbro surprised everyone by doing a modern update to a once unknown character from years past.
As for the previously leaked G2 Megatron, he was the all-new green tank mold loved from the beginning of the Generation 2 line that is loved by many.
