Rumour: Canadian Release Date for new Scouts and Powercore Combiners

Posted by Mkall Apr 10, 2010 at 10:00am CDT 43,325 views
TFW2005.com is reporting that the new wave of Scout Class Transformers in the line dubbed the "Hunt For The Decepticons" which contains Backfire, Crankstart, Brimstone and Hubcap will arrive at Canadian retailers sometime in May. Thought that's just the start of it. They also report that the first wave of Powercore Combiners, Huffer w/Caliburst, Smolder w/Chopster, Searchlight w/Backwind as well as the combiner 5-packs Bombshock with the Combaticons and Skyburst with the Aerialbots.

Also rumoured to arrive will be New Powerbots Optimus Prime and Bumblebee and voice changer helmets of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, which are most likely the existing voice changers, just in new packaging.

Keep in mind that this report is for Canadian suppliers and is just a rumour at this time. Rest assured, Seibertron.com will keep you up to date as the news rolls in.

More Bots. More News. More Awesome.

Great news if true! It's weird to onlyhave rough release dates for 3rd Party products and not a peep on when the official stuff is coming out.

That Bruticus will be MINE!

I wonder what the time difference will be between the US getting them and Canada getting. I wonder if there will be a bunch of Canadians at BotCon selling Powercore combiners to the Americans who have yet to see them locally. :P

Maybe it'll be like Universe 2.0, where Canada got them 3 weeks early.

Does that mean Canada will see them first or will it be a simultaneous release? I know it's all rumors...Walmarts have been clearing out a bunch of toys and Toys'R'Us seem to be having sales on them all the time. Shelf clearing perhaps?

I dunno about this, it seems extremely soon, since we're just starting to see the NEST deluxes and haven't even gotten the Animated exclusives yet.

The guy didn't even give a source, either.

Hence why it's a rumour. TFW seems confident enough in their member to report it as straight up news. Even though we compete with them, we gotta admit that they don't post anything on the front page unless they're pretty sure about it.

The release date makes sense. Plus, once PCC is done with, we're head first into Generations...

I thought PCC was going to be running simultaneously with Generations...no?

Now I'm worried that if this is true, we get screwed out of the last of the NEST toys and the Animated exclusives, which still haven't showed up on the west coast. :-(

To my knowledge, the PCC, the final waves of ROTF and Generations will be released around the same time. Which makes sense, given this:

1. The Scout Classes are occupied by PCC and the movie, Deluxe by the Movie and Generation, Voyager and higher by PCC and Movie and PCC. No more than 2 lines per class.
2. The ROTF and PCC figures will be chucked under one single line, without a proper name, to avoid confusion.
3. There's still some time between releases, as Generations is slated for Fall 2010. I'm expecting the rest to come Summerish.

Can't wait for the Powercore Combiners to be released! I've been patiently waiting (This is Animated Ramjet talking here :lol: ) for these in retail, especially the 5-packs!

Here's a little poem by Movie-verse Optimus Prime:

Frenzy is red;

Rumble is blue;

This poem doesn't rhyme;

NOW GIVE ME YOUR FACE!!!

Thank you, thank you very much! :lol: :KREMZEEK:

Well, the NEST toys are finally showing up in small numbers, so that has me relieved, but still no Arcee...maybe by the time they come out, everyone else will have one so the scalpers won't care anymore... yeah, right. :lol:
