are the Blaster/Soundwave/Billy/etc molds mistransformed in vehicle mode? it looks like the front and the top should clip together more, and if they do, I'll be pleased. Probably still get them regardless, but it'd be nice if they were good in both modes as well as having the "little dude" gimmick working for them. I assume Blaster's shoulders are only half-way transformed due to...Hasbrism but it does sort of set him apart from the Decepticon versions of the mold. As someone who can't transform all the way.

It's bloody terrible that we have to ask questions about what the toys should look like, when they're photographed from official displays.

Magnus, Sideswipe (Lightspeed), Fireflight/Air Raid/Fire Sale/Wing Saber and Starscream all look pretty good. I WANT Magnus. Will see how the others look, and how easy they are to get. Grimlock is a want too.

My thoughts:

1. Why does Ravage look like a coffee table? He's far too elongate, with big holes/spaces showing. Either he's badly transformed, or they just couldn't come up with a better form for him. The rounded look of Buzzsaw, Ratbat and Laserbeak works, though.

2. I guess FIRRIB/FIBRIR is solved now? Both TF:P Rumble and Generations Rumble are blue. Still, screw that, I'm going by the original toys' colorations.

3.Grimlock, both Magnuses, and Sideswipe are all must buys for me. And maybe Air Raid/Fireflight. I may get two each of Sideswipe and Air Raid and turn them into classics Technobots (Strafe and Lightspeed). Starscream just looks too stubby for my tastes.

Are those Hasbro products?

If they are then they are LIARS! The first video shows FOC Jazz with a bright blue visor, mine is BLACK and boring.

I'm pretty sure every single figure on display is hand painted. I hate that they do that because it gives you a very false concept of what the figure is going to look like once it's released.

It's the same as the pre-release product promo images which end up on the packaging of the final product. They use Photoshop or whatever to 'metalize' it and make it look super spiffy (i.e. like Takara's United figures :P) and then you look at the actual figure in hand and it's drab, dull and these days, semi-transluscent because the plastic is so thin and has no paint on it.

Modern TF's look like they're made of frickin' wax, and thin wax at that.

Well, its naughty. False advertising or something.

The packages say "product and colors may vary", so no, it's not false advertising. And it's the same thing they've been doing for years. Just get used to it.
