There are still some spot available for the event. Get all the information on it by visiting AutoAssembly.co.uk.
Also to those that can't make it to the con but want something, like the convention exclusive All Hail Megatron #12 Grimlock cover, I'm sure someone that attends can help you out with that.
So use this topic to discuss the meet-up, helping people out, or room sharing.
Hope to see you in August!

I'll try harder this year to hunt you down. You'll recognise me I'll be the one withe about ten giant bags full of stuff to big for the bags So hopefully I will see you there.

And Skullgrim later in the day. He may not be the biggest ODB regular but the lad's certainly a character.

That's me in the middle, although I'll be sporting a totally different colour and style of hair and beard this year. Look for the guy in a suit with a Lemmy beard, oh yeah!
I'm down for the full weekend this year so if there's enough of us arriving on the Friday night for the RotF screening anyone fancy a meet and greet over a few drinks on the Friday night (given that there's the party at the hotel on the Saurday night, lots of drinking!)?
Hotel wise I'm booked in a double at the Holiday Inn Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'm still waiting to hear on whether I'm splitting that with a friend or not so I might be able to put people up on some or all nights saving folks on full room rates (DM gets priority), although the hotel will seriously frown on having more than 2 people to a room. I'll hopefully be able to update on whether and which nights I can potentially room share over the next couple of weeks. Just a note to anyone who wants to stay on site and hasn't booked yet though that they were already out of twins for the weekend when I booked the room last week, so room shares are probably going to have to be on a same bed basis. Saving money on accomodations does mean more for toys though folks.

Hello I want to be prime and wrecknrule, welcome to Seibertron.com.
Warning! Seibertron contains nuts!
With the formal greeting out of the way, thanks for joining our family after lurking for so long. I myself was in the same boat about 5 years ago, lurking then finally joining.
I hope you guys have fun at AA09, and if anyone would like to step up and report on the event, we'd really appreciate it.

I wasnt the one wearing the Denim jacket, I'm not offended if you dont remember me at the convention but if I see you again I think you'll remember me.

OK, damn I hate it when I can't remember seeing or knowing someone. I meet every month people I swear I've never seen in my whole life and they know my name, my hobbies and stuff.
Yea we'll see us and this time I'll try and remember.

Also DM tells me that there's a chance he won't be able to make it this year so I'm going to step up to do the news coverage for the site. This will mean taking plenty of pictures and making notes through the panels etc, but if anyone wants to contribute any words or pictures (more pics the better!) for the article feel free to message me with your contributions in the couple of days following the con and I'll endeavour to have everything editted together by midweek.
Finally now that we're getting a little closer to the con we should all be thinking about making some solid arrangements for the whens and wheres of the forum meet up. For anyone coming for the RotF screening on the Friday I'd suggest meeting up ahead of the movie in the main con hall (where there'll be some cartoons playing through the early evening) and grabbing a few drinks after the movie. Given that many of us will likely not be in Birmingham until the Saturday however I'm going to message Simon and get us a half hour slot in the second hall booked for the forum meet. The thinking being that if we can all get together fairly early on the Saturday we should all be able to recognise one another over the rest of the con.
Four weeks to go!

Anybody else get their pack yet? I got mine today with lanyard and Cheetor artwork.

Now I am going to show up on Friday and stay in Waaaaghlord's room, well except when we're at the con and doing stuff and such.
Here's the programme on AA.
So where do we meet up and what shall we do?
I don't think I'm too keen on seeing the Animated movie again, but it depends if it's a huge cinema like screen and feel I may want to see it just for that cinema feeling.
I do want to see ROTF in the cinema, as I haven't seen it in English yet.
I think we should meet up at 17.30 sharp, introduce ourselves, and find a place to eat and drink a bit before ROTF.

They sent an email last night saying the ROTF screening is going ahead. I'll be getting in early (12am - 1pm to help them set up my PS3 and TV so I'll be around somewhere. Look for this ugly b%£"!£d:
